Christmas wishes...

Not really a challenge as such, but I've seen that those who go to a SW group have been given a little tag to write down their Christmas wish, so I thought this would be a nice place for us all to share our own.

My Christmas wish is just that I stay in control and don't go crazy. I want to enjoy what I do have, and I know I don't really enjoy stuff when I'm just shoving it in my gob for the sake of it, or as quickly as I can! I am going to remember that I, and only I, am in control of what goes into my mouth and ultimately what the number on the scales will say. I really don't want to undo all of my hard work for what is realistically one day.

So, what's your Christmas wish? Is it to lose a certain number of lbs? To get down to a certain dress size? Or something different? I'd love to hear them :)

Hi I've written two on my tag - I'd like my 8 stone award & to be able to run a 5k

It means I need to lose 2lbs a week which maybe tough at this time of year but going for it! Currently doing C25K and hoping for Christmas day to be running (jogging!!) a comfortable 5K so it'll counter balance some Christmas food. But like you hoping to show some restraint rather than just stuffing my face constantly because its Christmas!

Hi I have written on mine that 'I would like to get my stone and a half award', well I've got 6 1/2 lbs to go and five weeks to do it. Come on xx

Fab Christmas wishes - I'm sure you will achieve them!!

I've also decided that I would be happy if I can get to 11st 7lb before Christmas. I weighed in at 11st 12lb this morning so that gives me 5lb to lose in 5 weeks - sounds achievable!? :)

Good luck everyone! x

I'm hoping to lose 1 1/2 stones by Christmas. I've lost 7lbs up to last week's WI and I'm hoping it's achievable if I keep to plan and incorporate a bit more exercise into my routine. After seeing my weight creep up for the last five years I would be happy with anything over a stone off by Christmas, though.

Good luck everyone!

By Christmas I would love to get to my 2.5stone award. I have about 12.5lbs to go if my very bad maths is correct :D Hopefully I can resist most of the Christmas food temptation between now and then.

Good luck everyone :)

Would love my 3 stone award, and to be back in the 12's...so 6lb to go...seems doable, seeing as I have nothing on and as I am jobless at the min I can't afford to go out. Fingers crossed...

How is everyone getting on? I've lost ten pounds now, with another 11 to go by Christmas to get my 'wish'. I won't be distraught if I don't get there by then, but I'm going to get as close as I can!

That's a great attitude to have! :)

I'm now down to 11st 11lb, and my Christmas goal was to be 11st 7lb (also to stay in control over Christmas). So I've now got 4lb and 4 weeks left - hopefully I'll hit it! x

Oh, you're so close, well done! I'm sure you'll do it.

I weigh-in on Monday so hopefully I'll be a bit closer after that. I'm probably going to allow myself a couple of little treats over Christmas but staying as close as possible to the plan so I can keep the losses going into the New Year.

I have got 8.5lbs to go to my target of my 2.5stone award. Had a bad week, but I am going to do my best to get back on it this week, but only 3 more weigh-ins before Xmas!

2.5lbs off this week, so 3.5lbs to go! Can't wait to get back into the 12's again. I'm hoping I can smash 2lb a week seeing as I have nothing social on at all until the 20th which will give me a good festive buffer ;)

You can do it! I'm not sure what my gains will be like this xmas as its my first xmas at home in years...i'm usually working, so in control a lot more. Will see, Worst case scenario i put a whole heap on, but as long as you get back on it straight away it will be off before you know it...

I'm with you - any gain will be quickly lost if we don't let it make us lose focus! My plan is to relax a bit on Christmas and Boxing day but try to go bananas and use it as an excuse to eat everything in sight

indeed - I'm going to try and stay on plan right until xmas day too - and also enjoy boxing day - but after that, my mum goes back to work so I'll be able to get back on plan.

I'm vegan so an xmas dinner isn't that bad - only syns are gravy, mustard and stuffing...sometimes I have a nut cutlet but I'll probably have some linda macartney sausages this year.
I have also stopped drinking, but may treat myself to a few glasses of wine/champers but won't be drinking silly amounts like previous years.
My syns go on chocolate and sweets! Of which I will try to limit, but my mum always goes a bit mad buying lots of dairy free choc that I can eat, and if its laying about then its harder to resist.
xmas day breakfast my mum always does smoked salmon bagels, so i'll have scrambled tofu which is all free bar the bagel.

boxing day is always leftovers, so lots of bubble and squeak (mostly free)...should be easy enough!

I think I'll be fine as long as i just keep it to those 2 days, some people have far more difficult xmas's to navigate with lots of family, work do's, meals out etc. thankfully i don't do any of that and my options are limited anyway so i don't tend to put on anywhere near as much as other people :)

Some of your vegan options sound yummy!

Its the stuff being around that I'll find tricky - my Mum always buys loads so there'll be biscuits / shortbread / chocolate / pringles etc everywhere. Going to take a food parcel home of nice fruit / hi-fi bars and mullers. Then try and nibble on those ahead of the Syn laden stuff!

I have several festive occasions two this week & two more next week - so far! But have made sensible choices where possible & trying to be super good the rest of the time.

Good luck to us all :gen147:
