Bulky to Sultry
I'm a relatively new member to Slimming World and this forum. I have been reading all your diaries and I think they are such a great idea that I'm gona try my own :) Hopefully it will inspire me to keep on track as I try and shed this excess flab :)

I get weighed on a Wednesday and have had 2 weigh in's already.

Week 1 : -2 lbs
Week 2 : -5 lbs

I have tried so many fad diets over the years so I'm really hoping that attempt at weight loss is the one that will be the final one!

Can anyone tell me how to get the trackers that some of ye have at the end of your posts pls :)

Hi,
well done on your fab loses so far! 5lbs is amazing!
I really like my diary and even though sometime you dont get replies I think it helps to vent/rant and to keep a track of what youve had it makes me feel accountable!
x

Thanks a mill for the replies and the ticker link, I will try and sort out my own tonight :) ... Emma3334 you have had super weight loss so far, that is brilliant :)

Yea I'm hoping that actually writing this down as I go along will help me on weeks where I start to drift away a bit.... This is the longest (3 weeks!) I've managed to stick to a 'diet' so far so I'm really hopeful about this one at the moment. I don't really feel like I'm dieting so hopefully it stays like that lol...

Have my weigh in tomorrow so very excited to see if I have lost anything..... Made a gorgeous 1 syn chicken korma last night, was delicious!! Having some for lunch today again :)

Hope ye're having good days, chat soon x

Try not to think of it as a diet and rather a healthy eating plan. Nothing is restricted if you count it and follow the rules.

I don't like korma but girls at my group make simple curries then add muller light coconut with chocolate (free and cant taste the choc) or greek coconut (1/2 syn) apparently its really nice.

Ive got the Mayflower curry sauce to try but Im quite fussy so don't know what id put in it apart from chicken and onion.

Thank you for being so nice about my weight loss, im half way there just got to keep plodding along.

Yea I made it with the Muller greek coconut yoghurt! I actually couldn't believe how nice it was and so easy to make... I'll have to try the other curries now :)

So it's weigh in day today and I head to my class straight after work at 5.30pm.... the class is new to the town so it is really packed but I stay for the meeting anyway and usually get out around 7pm. I find the meeting good and get alot of handy tips from the others especially when it comes to meal ideas, I leave feeling motivated for the next week.

I have stuck to the plan all week so I'm hoping to have a loss on the scales although it's *week for me :sigh:... but I'm still hopeful.

I find SW really different in that usually when going to WW I would definitely head to the chipper after the meeting every week for a bag of chips and a burger as my 'treat' but because I don't feel deprived on SW I'm not thinking like that... instead this evening I'm going to have SW chips with lots of salt and vinegar and a can of diet coke.... delish :D

Fingers crossed for me for this evening pls

So I had my WI last night and I was down 2lbs, happy with that considering this is evil week for me lol.... That makes it 9 lbs in 3 weeks! Can't complain about that.... I just keep reminding myself that if I lost 1 lb a week between now and Christmas I'd be one happy lady so anything over the 1lb is a bonus for me :)

Had my SW chips loaded with salt and vinegar as my treat last night and now I'm ready for the week ahead.

Had coffee and a Kellog's double milk chocolate cereal bar to kick off the day this morning and I've just had 2 scrambled eggs (with skimmed milk) and a cup of tea, and an orange there now.

Does anymore know if the cereal bar could be counted as my Hex B or should I syn it (4 syns)and just use my HEX B on something else? I just can't get into the habit of eating a breakfast before I leave the house so my cereal bar is my mini life saver..

This week I'm aiming to drink more water and eat more superfree foods! I wanna make sure I get into double digits weight loss next week :D

Week 1 : -2 lbs
Week 2 : -5 lbs
Week 3 : -2 lbs

Ooooh nearly forgot, last week in class the computer went on the blink before the Slimmer of the Week was announced so this week I was told that it i was actually me so I got my sticker for that to go along with my half stone sticker.... thrilled !

Can someone tell me how to get the stickers in my signature pls :)))

Well done on being slimmer of the week! I love it when that happens my consultant gives us fridge magnets too!

Only some bars can be used as HEB so you will have to have a look in your book for that, If you like the cereal bars 2 alpen light bars are HEB which I often like as you can have one for breakfast then another as an afternoon snack with a cuppa! Or one with cuppa then 1 piece of 400gm bread.

Hi. Just subscribing. Well done on your weight loss so far. Keep itup, if it gets difficult have a moan on here but keep going.

Kelloggs Special K Chewy Delight Bar is h/e b on EE.

2Kelloggs Nutri Grain breakfast Biscuit all varieties also h/e on EE

No other kelloggs. Don`t sound like your but they may be suitable for you

Hey girls, thanks for that... yea I reckon I'm gonna have to change my cereal bar so to the Chewy delight.... want to try to stick to the plan so feel better knowing that what I'm having is actually a Heb.

Found this weekend the toughest one so far and definitely went over my syns on 2 days. Brought my two little ones (3 and 2 yrs old) for a special treat to McDonald's on Saturday and was very good and didn't order anything for myself as I made sure I had something before I left home....BUT I still ended up picking at their fries and had a bite of burger and stole a chicken nugget...lol... felt bad but I have to remember that before I would have done all of the above AND eaten my own large sized meal so I suppose I wasn't too bad in the end lol.

Made the Peri Peri pork chops on Sat evening but put waaaayyy too much Peri Peri powder in so that's a lesson for the next time :D

Had chinese last night then, chicken chop suey with boiled rice but only ate half so was happy with that :)

I really want to aim this week to reduce the sweetener in my coffee cos I read an article that frightened me about all the artifical sweeteners....

So 2 days to WI for me and really gonna try to keep on top of it.... I CAN DO THIS!!!!!!!

I think youre doing really well, it must be so hard not picking off the kids plates. I watched a secret eaters programme once and it showed you how many extra calories you consume when cooking a sunday dinner for example for tasting little bits n popping bits in your mouth so to be around little people with yummy leftovers all the time I think youre doing amazing. Like you said before it would have been that and your own! I was naughty and had a mcdonalds at the weekend, medium meal and diet coke lol not ideal but before would of been large, non diet and probably a side of chicken nuggets.... not a great victory but hey ho.

Well done on the Chinese, I think that's a pretty low syn option too. Although be careful my consultant said that the Chinese and indian syns is worked out on a 350gm potion, she weighed one of the rectangle foiled containers and that was 710gm! So a square foil one is probably the right size - just be warned as that came as a shock to me, may sound silly but it did.

We all read THAT article but apparently its not true and all the SW consultants have to learn about sweetners V sugar etc, our said its simply not true. Im sure people will disagree though.

Yea it is a scary article if it is true but I think I should cut down anyway... I don't take sugar/sweetener in tea so just need to retrain myself for coffee.... I don;t use it for anything else so hopefully I will be able to manage without it :) I don't mind using it in cooking as I don't use it too much...

I'm not feeling very confident this week. I feel like I've been doing alot pf picking and I've definitely messed up with the cereal bars so tomorrow I'm gonna sit down and sort out a full CORRECT meal plan for the week and aim to drink a lot more water and NO PICKING!!! :)

I have a fear that if I don't lose anything or gain this week then I may just cave in and say sod it but I'm really determined not to let this happen to me, it's what has happened to me with all my attempts in WW before so I know I really need to work on it....

I'm gonna start exercising a little this week too although I have a really bad back so it will only be some gentle walking but I reckon doing even a little bit has to be better than doing nothing....

Hope all ye're weeks are going well xxx

I know the sod it feeling all too well that's my problem too which is why I think ive been so rubbish recently then ive put on and just carried on in a vicious circle.

Im sure you will have lost if you've only had a little pick it wont have outdone all the good you've done.
I know I need to up the water im no where near having as much as I should be and I think it really does make a huge difference.

When do you get weighed? Im a Thursday girl x

Weighed on a Wednesday .... dreading tomorrow's class! Have felt confident every other week but not this one.... need to stop jumping on the scales at home too... Baaaaaadddd habit!!

Well done on your weightloss so far! 9lbs in 3 weeks is a fab result! dont cave in, all of your hard work over the last 3 weeks will be useless! Im sure it will be fine tomorrow!
Maybe think of some things that will motivate you even more! In my SW class last week we focused on motivation and there were lots of really good tips that were flying around! One of them was that every day you have a good day and stick within your syns..put £1 in a jar and if you are good every day at the end of the month you will have £30 to treat yourself to something new!! I am gonna try that one (even though im always poor haha) xx

Oh I thin I'm gonna steal that idea ... would be lovely to have something to look forward to like that :)

So had my WI last night and was down 1lb making it 10lbs in 4 weeks.... was thrilled that I had actually lost something as I thought I might have gained.

Promised myself before my WI last night that I would come at the new week all guns blazing and that's what I'm gonna do :D

Bought the HiFi bars in class last night (caramel & chocolate ones)and I think they are delicious. I have two as my HEB when I arrive in work at 9am with a coffee (canderal & skimmed milk) and then at 11.15 I have 2 scrambed eggs (with skimmed milk). Can't seem to manage the superfree foods in the morning very well, anyone have any suggestions ? :)

Lunch today is gonna be some cold chicken and rice and some fruit and then for dinner some pasta with lots of veg thrown in...... and a freddo bar (5 syns) with a cup of tea when my little tots are in bed.

Planning on using between 5-10 syns every day this week too and drinking 2 ltrs of water.....here's hoping!!!!

Hope all ye're weeks are going well xxxxxx
