My 12 steps to goal.........................

Hey my lovelies,

A bit about me, I am Dolly age 31 been dieting or at least pretending to be dieting for the last well for what feels like a blooming eternity.

I will admit to have been completely kidding myself on. Why though the only person who is suffering for this is myself. Stupid eh?!?

Anyway I need to get a grip of this weight before I am forever lost in the bulge. I don't want that.

This weight is affecting so many aspects of my life & its time to go.

I weight 16st 7lbs. I want to weigh 10st 7lbs. I need to lose 6st, hence the 12 steps.

Each step to me is a 7lbs weight loss.

By breaking it down its is going to be more achievable.

I love love your 12 Steps idea!
I'm the same and have just been half-heartedly dieting and just seem to be getting fatter and going the wrong way.
If I get to Step 2 I'll have lost more than I have in the last couple of years - so I might just aim for that now. Lots of luck to you getting to your no. 12!

Thanks lardydah (love the name)

I just give up too easy thats my main problem.

I always give myself excuses which are completely ridiculous just so I can stuff my face.

It has to stop, 1 step at a time.

Are you a scoffer or a grazer?

I get into habits, so I have a cuppa and I need something to go with it - I just went to make one and had to resist the open pannetone in the cupboard. I looked at the satsumas in my fruit bowl ... but no-one eats oranges with tea ... unless it's a Jaffa cake!!

So I'll just have the tea for now and maybe a boiled egg later before dinner if I'm really hungry. I feel really hungry but we'll see after the tea.

How are you planning on losing your weight? Having flirted with SW, Atkins, %:2 and everything else going in the past, I'm just going weith calorie counting and portion control - logging it on MFP in advance where possible so I know if I have any leeway for the odd treat. or boiled egg!

Oh god I am defo a scoffer LOL

I am gonna try the portion control I think. I was gonna do Herbalife cos I have some of the stuff in but never really stuck to it cos I have such bad willpower.

I might calorie count first cos I have a lot to lose then when it slows down do Herbalife towards the end.

Still trying to decide. I know that the calorie counting is better for me though - dilemmaaaaaaaaa

Oh I love a wee boiled egg!!

Another scoffer in the house! I did do herbalife too for a bit when I lived on my own (bought cheap on eBay from other failed dieters!) - the tablets and berocca type fizzy tabs rather than shakes - made me feel a bit wired and had luminous wee but definitely worked for a bit. Just came back on once I ate normal food as it always does eh.

Although I'm calorie counting, I won't buy diet or specific low fat products - I like to cook my meals mostly as they should be rather than flovour free. Just too much food really and a non-cleared plate brings a tear to my eye! I maybe don't even really know what's a proper size portion? I saw this Birds Eye advery for salmon fillets and a bunch of annoying women were having some dinner party and they had one salmon fillet with literally 1 small spoon .. 1 SPOON of rice and a piece of lettuce - that's it! I'd have at least a mini mound of rice salad and at least 2 bits of lettuce :p.

Maybe you could start with Herbalife whilst you're feeling the mojo and then transition to Herbalife once you feel you need to change it up a bit?
ps I never did have that egg!

Yeah I was thinking about joining SW for a wee bit then maybe switching back to Herbalife when I have lost most of my weight to boost it at the last leg.

Yeah those portion sizes are just not right, thats a starter haha!!

I have the tablets & the shakes havent heard of the fizzy tabs though.

I defo need to start more cooking from scratch aswell - need a good kick up the jacksie if I'm being honest.

Oh did you not, I have pickled eggs in the fridge aswell but sometimes there is just nothing better than a nice hot boiled egg - mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Dxxx

Pickled eggs  bleugggggh! That aint food - that's rotten haha!

I've done SW twice. First time before they had the EE option so just red and greens and I actually did really well and got down fro 12st 4 to 10st 2 but I was really militant about it and not fussed about cooking - mostly lived on packet flavoured rice and pasta 'n sauce packs. Tried again last year - joined online but found I dont like cooking frylight and using artificial sweeteners and I still ate too much of free or low syn food and progress after the first half a stone stopped. I think it's a good plan though just not for me - I need something I can live with. You could give SW a go, there's a lot of support on the SW section here and recipes and stuff + I'm sure pickled eggs are free ... cos who'd want to eat them!!

Hahahahaha I thought the same too till my hubby talked me into trying one.

I love them now, anything pickled mmmmmmmmmmmmm

Yeah I think I will buy the 6 or 12 week program & see how I get on with that.

The SW boards are sooooooooooooooooooo busy on here & I remember seeing some cracking recipes on there.

Just need to investigate & find a class on a Friday morning so that I can go & get my lard a$$ weighed haha!

Dxxx

Good on you for planning on going to class - i think that's where I went wrong with restarting online - need the fear factor of stepping on those scales. Whatever you do - never buy ScanBran - it's the texture of chipboard and tastes like rabbit bedding!

I'll check in again at the end of the weekend, me and the fiance are off to Snowdonia tomorrow for a couple of nights so my food's gonna be a bit all over the place - the breakfasts are meant to be mighty fine and I always love a cooked breakfast treat when we're away! I'll try and get a bit of walking in but have go a clicky ankle at the mo so just gentle walks - prob. from one teashop to another! No I'll not go mad and eat lighter when I come back

Catch you soon - have a fab couple of days - stick with it missy! X

Awe thanks hon.

Hope you have an amazing time in Snowdonia.

Found a class on Saturday morning at 11.30 so gonna go to that one.

Dxxx

Brilliant! How was weigh in ? SW scales always weigh in at least 2lb heavier than at home - FACT!

Snowdonia is absolutely beautiful - the lushest grass and hills. Absolutely chucking it down for most of the day but went for a walk through a forest & for bit lost so my fitbit says I walked near 5 miles today which is pretty damn fine for me. Haven't over scoffed as realised how unfit I was when walking purely due to the lard I'm carrying so put me off getting any lamb & potato oggies! Just going out for dinner once my other half gets out the shower. B&B is lovely - got WiFi & everything. I've tried to attach a pic from my window but not sure it's worked. Right - off to get some grub xx

Ooooooh 5 miles is loads!!

Sounds like you are having a fab time hon, beats being at work like me!

I was 16st 5lbs! So not too bad.

Enjoy your night xxx

How was class? Was the consultant good? Hope you've had a good day of it!

I'm blooody knackered!!! What kind of idiot decides to walk down from the summit of Mount Snowdon with a crap back and strapped up ankle? .... me that's who! Seriously such a stupid decision. I thought it'd be flat and pebbly or gently rolling hill not massive boulders and jagged flint to climb down. I couldn't do it, I kept on falling over and my leg started to shake! Got to the point where my leg was just giving way and After about the 5th fall my other half was going to call the rescue services but the sheer shame of that happening meant I just had to sit and then move when I could. So 5 hrs later finally got to the car. Almost cried with happiness! Still really pleased to have done it but bit stiff and in pain. Eating was bit rubbish - just needed sugary snacks but my walking/falling must've cancelled it out! Off to bed now - catch ya tomorrow :)

Oh no, hope you are feeling better this morning.

I have a terrible knee aswell so I can sympathise with you there - you did it tho so well done.

Don't worry about the sugary snacks your body needed it to help you through the day.

The class was good, I can't stay to that class cos I am moving to another area but I just wanted to get back to a meeting ASAP so that I didn't just keep gaining weight over the next couple of weeks till I can get to my new meeting.

It's exciting I feel good & can't wait to get started with the home cooking.

Dxxx

Still hobbling & stiff today but made me realise how unfit I am so need to do a bit more exercise just in general - once I can move with groaning! Went to Llandudno before we came home today so nice relaxing day with fish & chips & a 99 with a flake - gotta be done! Back to it tomorrow.

Glad your feeling that SW is the way to go - hope you end up with a good class once you've made your move. Bet that's stressful - best stock up on SW friendly snacks now!

It will be fine in a couple of days you just put too much pressure on yourself.

I am gonna get started 100% tomorrow.

Then class on Saturday morning, looking forward to losing weight.

Xxx

Step 1 here you come!
On TOM now so feeling bit crook from that and my legs a bit swollen so I do actually feel and look much fatter from water retention but know it's not "real" as such.
Going to make nice Thai veg coconut curry tonight as could do with some greens.

How about you? Will you do EE as a plan or mix it up with red or green? I used to do really well on greens and too hungry on reds. EE I just ate too much in general!

I'm gonna give extra easy a go first then might switch over if I get slow losses.

Water retention is a nightmare espesh at TOM bleurghhhhhhhh

Us poor woman & what we have to go through eh!
