SW in Thailand

Hi, I have spent the last few months travelling SE Asia and now have a job in Thailand. Unfortunately, whilst travelling I over indulged a little too much and that combined with a lack of exercise has not been good for the waistline! So, here I am ready to start SW again. My only worry is trying to stick to it over here, as the local shops don't have some of the products from home, which means I can't make some of the meals I'd like.

I've decided to keep this online diary as a way of motivating myself and hopefully sticking to the plan properly. I've never attended a SW group, everything I've learned from reading forums, so if you notice anything wrong with my diary/syns please let me know. Mainly I will be doing the red days, as sadly the green days (carb heaven) don't work for me.

Day 1: 15/09/14
B: Weetabix and milk
L: salad (lettuce, carrots, tomatoes, green beans, onions, cucumber) and a bowl of chopped mixed fruit.
D: ham salad (as above)
D: lum yai, watermelon, grapes and a 0% yogurt.
-As the nutritional information is in Thai I'm not sure if the yogurt does/doesn't have syns; therefore I have decided to give it 5 syns.
Total syns: 5 Remaining: 10

Day 2: 16/09/14

B: Oats (HexB) 0% yogurt and frozen strawberries and bueberries.
L: Salad and tuna with olive oil and apple
D: Ham salad
D: Watermelon, grapes and apple. Oat muffin (HexB) and activia light and fit.
Exercise: Gym 40mins.
Total syns: 7 Remaining: 8

Day 3: 17/09/14
B: Oats (HexB) 0% yogurt and frozen strawberries, blueberries, watermelon and grapes. apple.
L: Chicken salad and lychees. 1 square of chocolate
D: Chicken and ham salad.
D: Weetabix cake and grapes.
Total syns: 12 Remaining: 3

How does this look? Am I overeating and does anything require syns?
Also does instant coffee granules take up syns?

You've allocated 5 syns for the yogurt but I'm not too sure if that's too high, are they yogurts you'd be having regularly, if so post the nutritional value & I'll check the syns for you. If you have Activia 0% yogurts I'm sure all are syn free.

No syns in coffee granules;)
 
I'm in Phuket.

The nutritional information is in Thai :( The local Thai yogurt says 0% fatfree and the Activia was light and fit - I was hoping they wouldn't have too many calories. At home I'd eat Mullerlights.

Total syns: 10 Remaining: 5

Drinks: peppermint tea, green tea, water and coke zero.
Exercise: Gym 30 minutes.
 
Morning, Im sure i got told if its under 1% fat its free.. Might be wrong though!

hmmm I think it is wrong, it may be fat free, but it could have sugar in which will add syns:D

Pity you can't read the ingredients!!
 
Day 5: 19/09/14
Breakfast: Weetabix and milk (Hex A and B)
L: sticky rice, papaya salad, salad and apple.
D: sticky rice, papaya salad and salad.
D:
0% yogurt, oats (HexB) and frozen strawberries, blueberries and grapes. apple.
Total syns: 20. As I'm not sure how much sugar was in the papaya salad I'm synning each serving 7.5 each and hopefully that will cover the peanuts too.

Drinks: peppermint tea, green tea, water and coke zero.

Ahhh well might be the same for me then the yoghurts I am eating are in Maltese but are light so I presumed... Hope not!! Xx
 
Day 6: 20/09/14

L: water melon and lum yai fruit.
D: chicken wrapped in bacon.
D: 0% yogurt, oats (HexB) and frozen strawberries, blueberries and grapes. watermelon.Apple
Total syns: 7

Drinks: sugar free juice, water and coke zero.

Well today was supposed to be a red day, until I visited a local Thai restaurant and saw steamed pork and rice... I've decided to syn the rice (I'm guessing the weight) and the sauce.

Day 7: 21/09/14
Breakfast:
Weetabix and milk (Hex A and B)
L: pork and rice. strawberry yogurt and apple.
D: 0% yogurt, oats (HexB) and frozen strawberries, blueberries and grapes. apple. strawberry yogurt
Drinks: sugar free juice, coffee, peppermint tea and coke zero.
Total syns: 15 yog (7) and sauce and rice (8)

The syns are probably wrong, but it's best to go high than low I think.

Is instant coffee (granules) free?

Weigh in tomorrow morning.

Day 8: 22/09/14
Breakfast:
0% yogurt, oats (HexB) and frozen strawberries, blueberries
L: salad, bowl of mixed fruit and apple.
D: ham salad. a bit of partner's thai curry. grapes, banana and yogurt.
Drinks: s
ugar free juice, coffee (milk HexA), peppermint tea and coke zero.
Total syns: yogurt x 2 - 14, curry: 10 (might be synning too high but curry had potato in it)

Weigh in: 133lbs
:) -5lbs (not sure if I should trust my temperamental Thai scales!)
