Hiya, can't believe I have only just found this site!
Thought I would start a thread with such a big task ahead!
I rejoined sw in Oct last year 5 weeks after I had my second child (the 1st is 2) and I have to say juggling parenthood and weight loss does have its challenges for me but I'm focused and just trying to plan plan plan!
Really enjoying the extra easy plan-packed full of my favourite foods-always a bonus :). I do struggle if I have something 'bad' it's a downward spiral for the day (sometimes several-oops) but that's something to work on this year-well that and actually doing some exercise!
I tend to batch cook foods and make a soup once a week for lunches to help keep me on track-I always need inspiration for meals-quick, easy and without a supermarket full of ingredients!
Well thanks for reading and here's to reaching target (or as close as possible!) in 2015!

Hi I to have about the same to lose, started just after midnight as the bells chimed for new year. Good luck for the new sw year :)

Good luck on your journey - I too have just restarted sw, I did it for a few weeks last year but couldnt get my head around how I was "allowed" to eat so much and lose weight but hubby and I need to lose weight and I need to start cooking healthier meals for us and the kids so sw is a no brainer for us really.

Thanks guys! I really hope this time I can get to target-I've tried others but not really got anywhere. I did try sw in 2013 but fell pregnant 2 weeks in-needless to say it didn't go well!
I have to say I struggle with being able to eat 'unlimited' certain foods-i do have to have some restraint with pasta etc else I could eat it by the barrel full which I'm sure would not help my end goal!
Weigh in on Wednesday-hoping to get a chunk off the 5lb I need towards that 4 stone (or even get it-fingers crossed)
Good luck everyone :)

Well that's the first weekend of the year almost over-it's been challenging, stressful but positive.
My first mistake today was stepping on my dodgy scales which showed a 3lb gain-never a good place to be to start the day. Though after speaking to the husband and almost getting told off for having a sneak weigh I realised he was right-weight fluctuates, the scales aren't accurate and there are still 3 days till weigh in so the scales are hidden and I'm just going to weigh in at group, I know I've been good since the 1st and totally on plan so just got to keep going.
Also lack of sleep is not helping-you would think after over 2 years of it that I would be used to it-but no, I am not now nor will I ever be a morning person or someone who functions well with broken sleep but I get the feeling I need to keep working on learning if I'm ever going to feel 'normal'
Right moan over now for the positives, after shopping yesterday before sitting down I searched the cupboards and freezer for s & p foods, chucked them in a pot and made my soup for the week (something I was very thankful for today, I did not feel like cooking!) which actually tasted better than a lot of the soups I've made lately so a bonus esp as it's lunch till next week :)
Whilst the little ones think sleep is for losers they certainly have their uses when it comes to a bit of body magic. My boy had me running around 'really fast' playing pirates and chasing which I have to say I was not feeling but we had lots of fun and I feel better for it. As for my baby girl whilst she can't run she certainly has me clocking up the steps walking up and down the front room bless her-any exercise is good though so I'll take it. I even managed to clear the clothes horse to reveal an exercise bike I brought several years ago and have used twice haha money well spent-but that's about to change my mini target this week is to go on it for 30 minutes at least 3 times-even if it's in chunks of 10 mins at nap time it will all add up!
Foodwise breakfast: semi skimmed milk (hea) 2 x weetabix (heb)
Snack: apple
Lunch: soup
Snack: 2 x Clementine's
Tea: roast chicken, veg pack, smoked paprika and peri peri roasties and gravy (1.5 syns)
I've precooked meals for the next 2 weeks so no excuses-once they're used up I'm going to give the extra easy sp plan a go!
Feel really good about today the old me would have got annoyed, thought 'this isn't working' and found myself at the bottom of a 6 pack of crisps and chocolates-I'm not saying that will never happen again but it shows me how far I've come in a few weeks, so that for today at least I am finishing on a high!
Hope everyone has had a fab weekend and here's to the next week!

Well today has gone well, my lovely husband surprised me with a music player and headphones after I smashed my iPod a year ago to keep me motivated whilst exercising-bless him he must really think I'm going to do it-no pressure lol. Just finished 15 mins on the bike-ok so not 30 but better than 0 I felt like doing :)
Foodwise was the same as yesterday but with a free spicy beef stew and a veg pack for tea.
Hope tomorrow goes as well (or better!) x

Hey subscribing :)
Woohoo to the new.music.player! My hubby would never think of anything like that! He usually buys me chocolate for being.upset about my weight and says oh god sorry I didn't think Lol men eh!!!
Have a fab day! Xx

It's definitely made me think twice about not exercising a which is a good thing-i think (my legs beg to differ lol).
Haha I think he just feels guilty for the mountain of rubbish he eats in front of me without gaining a lb grr-i swear I gained 10lbs just ogling his tea earlier :)
I will try not to bore you everyday but just for my first couple weeks of adding in exercise I'm afraid I might!
After a very unwelcome 3.30am till 5.30 am and then a 6.45am wake up call (cheers lil ones-good job they're lovable!) I thought today would pass by in a daze-which it pretty much did but bulk cooking in advance saves me from myself so at least I didn't have to think about food so had a good free food day as planned.
Decided not to sit down after doing the boring dishes and completed 30 mins on the bike, yay!
Well tomorrow is weigh in day so I have everything crossed for at least 3.5lb-here's hoping :)
Hope everyone is having a good week so far x

Well done one the bulk cooking and exercise!! I'm far too lazy for bulk cooking.. Oh and exercise haha no I must do exercise I will go for walks round the bay!!

The joys of little ones Eh! My son is nearly 8 and still a bad sleeper it drives me mad.. I'm so not a morning person either!
Eeeeek good luck for tomorrow xx

Fab loss, well done x

Woohoooo well done that's brilliant!! Xx

Thanks guys I was really pleased and sotw again which is becoming embarrassing lol but it's not as embarrassing as I feel I am right now so I'm just going to keep going!
That being said today hasn't been great the stress has got to me today and I did go over my syns-oops totally my fault tho! But tomorrow is a new day so I'll just make the next few days free to make up for it-I know they say it's best not too but I use flexi syns every week and it doesn't seem to be doing any harm :)
Onwards and upwards (or downwards hopefully ;)) x

Right it is 6am-been up since 4 (yawn!) Lil miss has finally given back in so I figured I have two choices-go back to sleep for an hour before football with the boy, or get up prep pork for cooking later and get on my bike-decisions decisions!!
Today has the potential to be a tough day but in reality it's my choice how it ends-think I will need matchsticks, willpower and 2 well behaved lil ones lol -bring it on :)

Hi, here to subscribe,I am also losing the baby weight, have a little baby girl in Sept and a two year old boy (nearly 3) you are doing really well, I def need to up my body magic, functional it hard fitting it in - how do you do it? Have a lovely weekend :)

Hiya :) thank you it's nice to hear esp when I'm struggling to see how far I've come!
Honestly it's been a huge challenge and there have been times I've wandered if it was too soon-however for every day I've felt that there have been so many more positive moments. Exercise is a new addition this year this morning was my 3rd time-i had a c section which has taken some time to heal so I've not been able to do much more than walking (and I rarely did that lol). I'm aiming for 3-5 times a week doing 45 mins on the spin bike and some kettle bell work (just so grateful I brought these years ago as I'd never get to the gym)-my husband mostly gets up with our son anytime from 5am before he goes work (As I do any nights with the baby but thankfully she's pretty good compared to my 1st lol) and he's happy to look after our baby girl in the eve so I can work out am or pm but it's just finding the motivation/energy after running around after them all day and running on sometimes little sleep-something I'm sure you know all about!
I wish losing weight was as easy as putting it on lol-now that I'm an expert in :)
Sorry if it's a stupidly long reply, I'm on my phone so can't really see till I push send ha just type away-have a great weekend too :)
