New to slimming world - a few challenges already

So I am new to slimming world and had a few challenges, but very pleased with myself so far.

Yesterday we had friends around. I have habitually for some time had a normal breakfast on a saturday and then gone out with my children to do the weekly shop. Whilst shopping, we would always pop into Greggs for a sausage roll. Yesterday, we went to Greggs and I didn't buy a sausage roll for myself, just for the kids and my friends had one also. Challenge 1 overcome!

We ate enchiladas for dinner which were homemade so everything was free on extra easy apart from the sour cream, wraps and cheese. We had a few drinks (I was on gin and slimline tonic) and then they started to have nibbles. Instead of the usual covered nuts and crisps, I had a pack of french fries. Challenge 2 survived! I probably went over my sins, but instead of blowing the whole day which is what I would have done in the past, I tried to follow the plan as much as possible.

Today we had a slimming world cooked breakfast followed by prawn jacket potato, so everything free so far today.

Homemade spaghetti bolognaise for dinner. A few free snacks and shape delight to help me along the way.

I am proud of myself for not thinking, oh we've got something on this weekend, I might as well not follow the plan so this has really motivated me to keep going for the rest of the week.

Bring it on!

I've had the same type of weekend....nice to feel proud of myself that I CAN actually say NO to things :) well done x

Well done! I've found that some eating habits are linked to behavioural habits... like the Saturday morning visit to Greggs. If you stop going, you won't have the temptation. Think of another treat for the children that doesn't involve eating "bad" food, mebbe??? Changing your eating patterns is step one to success.....

Well done, that is great planning and willpower! Keep up the good work! :) x
