I am really worried it won't work for me

I started on Sunday and although I know I shouldn't weigh until a week is over I am a serial weigher and have been hopping on the scales everyday. Normally I fluctuate up and down by three pounds. This week since starting sw it has been sat at the top weight and I am worried that the plan will not work for me. I have done it before and lost but then I have tried a few time after and it hasn't worked as well. To be honest none of these times did I really stick to it including when I lost ten pounds. This week I have been 100% so far and am determined to stay that way. I really would like to lose a pound a week but have major worries.

I only have 7 pounds to lose.

Has anyone else found or heard that it just doesn't work for some people?

I have a diary on here if anyone fancies checking I am doing it ok.

Sorry I really hope I am not bringing anyone down with this post. I am very tired after no sleep last night and feeling a bit deflated after scales
Xx

Oh no no no, I do this, is it your own worst enemy, do not, I repeat do not, get deflated by the scales. I weigh myself everyday, and find it doesn't change daily, it really does get you down, but you will lose it if you stick to it, promise!

Try really hard not to weigh yourself, but if you just have to, remember it's only 1 day a week that counts weight wise, don't let the other days get you down, chances are your body is going mental trying to figure out what all this healthy stuff is, give it time to adapt and change as you do, you'll soon lose it.

If not, remember weight loss isn't all scales, how about getting a tape measure and measuring inches once a month or so? You'll be healthier even if you aren't seeing the numbers drop.

Good luck, I'm off to check out your diary.

You'll maintain or loose 1lb a week no problem

Try not to stress! !

Thank you for your replies.. I know I shouldn't weigh and should trust but I just get so worried. I am spending a fortune on veg too! I tried aldi this morning and got loads compared to tesco !
I would appreciate some feedback on the diary as I am committed 100% to making any changes if needs be xxx

Hi Jessie,

Have left a comment in your diary - though looks like you're doing really well! I know how hard it is not to weigh everyday, I still struggle with it! Aldi is your best friend when on SW, we've got a Tesco and Waitrose near us and they cost a fortune to do grocery shops!

I only weigh once a month as I'm a slow loser... I used to be a daily weigher so just weighing once a month (for me) is so liberating, good luck!! x

I use to weigh three times a day, now it's twice.. Bad I know.

I got so much in aldi!
Bag of carrots
Mushrooms
Courgettes
Rocket
Apples
Potatoes
Peppers
Chopped tomatoes
Cherry tomatoes
Tomato purée
Plus a few bits not for me and it cost me £8!!! So shocked!!!

I'm spending more on fruit in particular, but realised overall it has almost balanced out as I am buying a LOT less alcohol and snacks!

Aldi rocks :)

Please try not to worry so much, the plan does work if you trust it :) And try to get yourself down to weighing once a day at most! I would be constantly depressed if I looked at what I weigh in the evenings as I bloat up loads every single day (and then lose it again overnight)! ;)

I also find that my weight only drops every 4/5 days, even when I'm being 100% - I think your body has to work out that you're not going to top it out without any more unneccessary calories before it'll let the pounds go :)

I was really worried about weighing in today as I drunk four cans of diet coke last night, syn free I know but obviously a lot of liquid in me!
I weighed in and have lost two pounds! Yay so happy and even more incentive to stick with the plan xxxxx

That's brilliant for someone with only 7lb to lose! Well done!

although i am doing it from home, i have chose to use a chemist scales so even if i am tempted to jump on and off i wont take it as gospel until my weigh day :p
i also did the measurement of my waist hips and boobs am hoping the first too drop but would love to hang on to the last lol. i am hoping to see the result more in the measurements than the weight, but any will be a bonus, good luck and wel done on your loss!!
