Weigh In's???

I know that at any Slimming Club that they do weekly weigh in's, and most health officials recommend weekly weigh in's also. But do any of you weigh in daily and just go by the lowest weigh in you have?

A lot of us are serial weighers but taking the lowest across the week isn't a true reflection so we would look, probably daily, but log the weight on the officially weigh day, whenever that may be.

If you are maintaining then looking more broadly across the week would be more accurate but for losing you need to have an actual point at which to compare to the previous point to judge the decrease?

I sometimes wonder. I will get to target a while before SW thinks I do, because if I weigh in the morning naked I am a few lb less than if I weigh in at group, and obviously that's a more accurate weight than when I'm full of food/water/clothes!

If you really want to weigh every day how about drawing a little graph so you can see the general up/down trends more clearly? Just picking your favourite figure doesn't really work, it will enable you to ignore gains tbh!

But it can feel a lot more encouraging to have an 'official' weigh every week as the difference will be clearer. Every now and then this will mean you have a disappointing loss when you feel like actually you did better, but usually it will correct the next week.

No... choosing the lowest weight of the week isn't going to be a true reflection of your weight change for the week, although it would be great to cherry pick my weight on a weekly basis! As the others have said you need a set time of the week to WI and preferably under consistent circumstances (i.e. scales in same place, same day and clothes on or off etc) to see a true representation of your loss/gain for the week.

I do have a sneaky weigh during the week but I don't take that as my 'official' WI... that is done at group on a Friday morning.

My official weigh day is a friday but I always weigh on a monday too to see what I have done to myself over the weekends, I was 1lb up this morning but not gonna kick myself cos I know I had a cheeky weekend lol!!

Thanks everyone. I just wondered if any of you was more daring than me. :)
My official weigh in day is Tuesday and so far I've managed to stay off the scales.
I would hate to see the scales lighter during the week, then on the official day them being heavier. I'd be gutted.

I do have a sneeky look at my scales but I only go by the scales at my SW meeting. I think hers is more accurate than mine anyway!!

I'm only on my second week, but I've become a little bit obsessed with the scales. My first week was fine, but this week I weighed myself half way through the week and every day since... It kinda motivates me to stay healthy though!
