Change to Red : diary help?

lickthelid

Lives here....
I'm not sure why I am so paranoid. Maybe it's having the extra hex, maybe it's the fact that I used them for bread and I normally wouldn't go near it. I'm just sure I ate too much today. This is the first time I have tried a red day as I want to get my head around it before my online subscription ends.

Can anyone tell me if this looks ok?

Breakfast
chopped apple (x2 small gala) and red and green grapes with a muller

lunch
two rounds of sandwiches with beef, sliced gherkins, 1tblsp lighter than light mayo and 1tsp mustard. Pile of Carrot sticks and 1.5 boiled eggs. = total 1 syn and both HexB

dinner
half a butternut squash with homemade synfree garlic cheese, mushrooms (lots), quorn sausages, eggs and bacon (odd grill-up ;) ) Total = 4 syns

evening
1 large cup of green and blacks hot chocolate using 1 Hex A and 4 syns.

Drinks throughout the day include green tea and butter mint tea and 3 pints of nas Ribena.

Any thoughts? I feel like I have eaten soooo much.

Looks good to me. Don't forget if you want it you can actually have another hea.
They say to try and gave a third Superfree with your meal no matter what plan you are on and you are doing that which is brill

I just feel like I have eaten so much. I think its the bread thing. I'm just not used to eating it at all so it feels a bit naughty. I have convinced myself that too much makes me bloat and stalls my losses so I'm interested to see the impact of a few red days including bread had on me. :s

Yes I always feel like I have eaten more on green days ( don't really do red days now but used to when I joined last time) I found red days good for my weight loss. Be interesting to see how you go on

I used to be vegetarian, so did all green days. I'd use both my HEBs as bread and sometimes syn a third portion as well. I still lost weight really well. Don't let other diets put you off slimming world! Bread doesn't make you fat, overeating it will. And SW doesn't allow for overeating bread. In fact, it's providing good fibre to keep you regular. Something you need more of on red days;) Without that fibre you might indeed weigh more on weigh day, but not from fat!

Well I managed a day ok then and am trying a second. I've started with a ham, mushroom and red onion omelette. Might have the same lunch as yesterday as it was so sooo good! I weigh in on wed so it may be a little late to judge the impact this week. I'm thinking of mixing in maybe 2 red days with my EE week more regularly to see if it jazzes it up a bit. I can just FEEL it slowing.....

thanks guys I really appreciate the input. X

Yes. 1tsp mustard (whole grain) and 1tblsp lighter than light mayo. .5 syn each.

And seriously the yummiest sandwich ever. I had it again today it was so good!!!

I am going to try that this week for sure. Thanks for the inspiration - any more exciting Red day ideas? I am not as keen on the squash and quorn plans.....! :)

Haha I seem to live on butternut squash as I have been using my HEXBs at lunch time and the butternut gives enough density to replace potato! Tonight I'm roasting it with a chicken breast and veg. I'm not overly imaginative when it comes to recipes but am hoping that if I do the red plan here and there I'll come up with some new ideas! Let me know if you like the sandwich!! X
