Slimming World app query

Hi

I'm totally new to Slimming World and have joined as an online member.

I have been using the iphone app for syns. Not sure if it's just me being vague but am I right that you can only count the value that the app gives you ie. 100ml of milk. I wanted to add 150 ml of milk but from what I can see I can only have 100 ml or multiples of.

Another example is that I make a Thai green curry recipe - everything would be free foods for me except the coconut milk. I use a 400ml can which is 31 syns - but I only eat ¼ of the recipe which is only 8.25 syns per person.

Am I right that I can't split that quantity? It just makes the total for the day useless - I have already just set up my own Excel spreadsheet with a few formulas to get an accurate count.

It just seems that the app it pretty limited in its use apart from being a catalogue of syn values.

Thanks

Yes you just split the amount, just like you say.

The app is pretty rubbish to be honest.

Do you mean for entering the syns into your food diary? If so then you enter it as a manual syn value for the appropriate amount :)

The app is poor and just has a "syns to go" function not a full food diary. Hence the problem.

Open up the site SW site on your phone and place a link on your home page. It appears like the one on my menu bar in the pic. It automatically takes you to your online food diary.

I use this, the app is jack and this is so much better. You can opt to stay logged in too so it's very very quick and you can get the features and your progress as well as keep a full diary or simply log your syns. It has syns online in the menu (top left as you open it) Because it's not an app it takes up next to no room in your phones memory too.

I was assuming the OP was talking about the mobile website, which many people call an app, but may be wrong :)
I guess they may be referring to the actual app as OP mentions logging syns rather than using a food diary. That's why I posted the pic as I don't think everyone is aware of being able to set the mobile site up exactly like an app.

I call it an app too! ;) it's just not THE app. Which is useless and the mobile site is soooo much better
