Extra Easy Third superfree rule

I know this is an element of SW that seems to cause much confusion and debate but I think I understand it. However my question is this:

In the FAQ section of the book it is stated that you don't need to have a third superfree with healthy extra meals as there is a portion control built in - does this also apply to meals composed mainly of syns? For example I have a WW microwave meal for lunch at 5 syns - am I ok to not have a third superfree on the plate for this meal?

Am hoping that my not sticking to the third superfree rule has been the main reason underlying my slow loss so I am really trying to stick to it from now on

Hi I don't think it matters too much where the meal is already portioned. It wouldn't hurt to have some super free with it though if, like me, you don't find ready meals are very fulling for very long. Might help stave off the hunger pangs for a little longer!

I would most defiantly have superfree with something like a ready meal as it's a main meal type food

Rather than syns for chocolate for example

I often have a microwave bag of veggies if having ready meal, or half bag of spinach lol!

I would also add a load of superfree to something like that. A side salad with a pasta dish for example. The idea being you eat the superfree first, then the free/syned portion in the hope that if you are full before finishing it all you are leaving syned food and have 'filled up' on superfree.

That's how I see it anyway.

My rule is that all foods that are not hexes/syns must be 1/3 superfree.

So if I have a eggs and mushrooms on toast, with the toast as a hex, it should be 1/3 mushrooms, 2/3 eggs, with the hex toast as 'extra'.
Ditto if there are syns - but most meals with syns will also have some free food. So if I have a casserole with quorn sausages, I need to have 1/3 veggies and 2/3 superfree given that the quorn sausages only have a few syns due to the free food allowance in the quorn.

Hope that makes sense...
