Ok I've started sw today - and only previously done red/green with great success. However today for ease I've decided to give ee a go.
So here's what I've eaten
B banana and pear
L small jacket tuna mayo 5 and a mixed leaf and cucumber salad
D sw xl burgers with onion garlic and tomato purée in 2x sandwich thins 10 with raw onion on top Rf cheese hea

- now my plan was to have some fruit as dessert (as I'm rarely satisfied following dinner I usually crave something sweet!) but I'm stuffed! I text my consultant who said not to force feed it down that if I was full great. But I'm worried - I didn't get my 1/3 sf with dinner - will this affect my weight loss - and surely this means I'm doing it wrong? Thanks for your advice or tips guys! X

I think your diary looks great! You could have had a salad with dinner but there's no point forcing in fruit if you're not hungry. Part of the reason for the 1/3 rule is to stop you over eating the free food, so there's no benefit of eating it after just for the sake of it.

Keep going, you'll work out how it's best to get your 1/3 in as you go along but I really think this a good day and a brilliant start :)

Thanks :) I feel a bit better now! I had planned on a bit of a salad but managed to leave my lettuce in asda when I did my shop!

Ok so it's not the sf causing the weight loss it's the fact your not gonna overeat on the higher cal foods!

Ok well ee seems mad in my head that I can eat and loose weight! But I have lots of great recipes planned for this week so here's hoping it all pays off for wi! Thanks again for your reply :) x

You're welcome. It might be worth doing a food diary. It's a great way to make friends on here and it helps you learn if things aren't quite right. Also, if you don't have the losses you think you might it gives people a quick glance at what you've been eating to be able to help advise.

You can also subscribe to other peoples diaries to get ideas for meals etc.

I'm sure the added fibre helps with the losses, but it's primarily to keep your portions in check and your balance of free correct.

Good luck in your journey :) it looks like you've had tons of success already so I'm sure you'll do great! X

Don't force in fruit after dinner, that just defeats the object! If you're stuffed, that's great you don't need to eat more and also, to me, you've used syns in your dinner so really there's already a control there anyway. They say if you use healthy extra choices in meals, say you've had beans on toast for lunch, there's no need for the 1/3 superfree if you don't feel you need it as there's a control already built in there with the measured/weighed healthy extra.

I don't agree with these people who say to have fruit straight after a meal to make up for not having superfree, that's just defeating the object. Your food has been spot on today you've counted syns and had superfree for breakfast and with lunch you are fine. Just if you need to snack tonight try and choose superfree foods first you will be fine

Brilliant thanks. And I didn't know that about other control measures so that's helpful to know. Snacks would have been sf if I'd needed it. But I actually didn't. What I ate yesterday really satisfied me which was great! I didn't feel deprived in anyway! Just felt like I was having what I wanted which is fab! It's just getting my head into ee mentality.

See my breakfasts will always be a fruit salad with a muller. I am sure that at the end of the day my diary will consist of more sf than free it always used to even when on red and green.

My portion control is intact as for a while I did calorie count and weight watchers (I'm not
Promoting them bc ultimately I came back to sw bc IMO it's the best plan out there - I was just experimenting) so I have a fat idea of control over that.

But like today I'm trying the new beef goulash with pasta - now 1/3 of plate will be veggies. But last night with sw burgers it's difficult.

But feeling good and thanks guys for the advice! Maybe I'll nip over to the diary section and have a look! X

sometimes you just don't want salad again do you! I think you are doing well so just carry on, if you didn't need snacks inbetween meals then that's great x

Hi sorry to be a pain. Can someone look at today for me.
I'm having a midweek freak out thinking eating all of this cannot possibly work!
Have I got enough sf?

B - banana pear strawberries grapes with muller and heb shredded wheat

L- super noodles lf. 3 carrots and sw taziki (free - grated cucumber lemon garlic and ff natural yoghurt)

D- Bol bake hea cheese (this had pasta xl pork mince tomatoes garlic carrots and onions in) with green beans and 2 satsumas. Garlic ciabatta 13.5

chocolate brownie sw 1

Thanks.

Looks good to me but I would normally add extra superfree to my dinner - that's just me though :)

Thanks - do you mean you usually have more than a 1/3.

Do you count the sf within the dish? X

Yeah so in my bolognese I usually add in some peppers, courgettes, spinach etc. I am very greedy though so do that so I can eat more!!!

I didn't think of that simply bc I was following the recipe. But it's a good idea! Thanks :)

maybe have small salad or piece of fruit while cooking your dinner.. I always up the veg in my dinner that aren't in the recipe like the SW chicken curry, I added peppers, mushrooms and carrots but basically anything that was in the fridge!! Really helps get your superfree intake up without you noticing..

Wahoooooooooo

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who gave me help. I lost 5.5!!!!!!!!!!

That's a fab loss- well done!

5.5 is amazing.. I'm actually going to try have green day or two this week. Feel like I'm eating so much meat!! So if you have any idea for green meals I would love them! Want to change things up and hopefully get some more weight off :)

Less planning for green days :) good luck xx
