Lifeline online once at target.

Ive recently joined slimming world online and after reading through some information on there, it seems that once you are at target you still have to pay to have continued use of the website.
I know if you go to a group, membership is free once at target.
I suppose you can't really prove you've lost the weight online so I can understand why you wouldn't get it free but it got me thinking.
I wonder if any one knows whether your free group membership still includes use of the sw website?
I was thinking I'd see how online goes for now and maybe join a group to lose the last stone or so then I'd still be able to look up syns on line without it costing £20 a month once I'm at target.
Also I'm now so jealous of you group members being able to buy those new salted caramel hifi bars as you can't buy them online :(
Thanks x

Yeah unfortunately online members still have to pay when at target.

But you can join SW groups any time and even with only 7lbs to lose so my plan is to join group with my last 7lbs and then get to target. I'm hoping group members still get online access once they are at target.

Yeah good idea Sarah. I think thats what I'll do. Hopefully I can shift most of the weight online. I might see how well I do up to when this first 3 months runs out and decide from there whether to carry on online and just do the last stone to 7lb at group.
Thanks x

Target members of group get free online access so long as they w.i once a month at group (w.i is free so long as you are 3 pounds either side of your target)

Yup that's good news!

Wish I had joined a group with the Last half stone to lose, as it is I'm still an inline member after hitting target last July, I don't want to cancel my membership as I still use syns online but I don't really want to pay twenty pound a month forever! Does anyone know if I can transfer to class as a target member in order to maintain access to the site or have I just left it too late?

There's no harm in going to a group and explaining the situation. You could try ringing head office to get confirmation of you loss, though no-one can properly verify it as I guess it's different to weighing in groups where it's verified by the person doing the weighing. But I would still try!

Unfortunately I don't think you could join a group, lose 7lbs and be a target member as your current BMI is under 23 and SW don't let people join and lose weight if their BMI is below 23. That's what I read on the website but who know it may have changed or be up to the consultant so I'd go and see :)

Thanks for the info, maybe I should just bite the bullet and try and go alone, I spose I shouldn't really need sw to hold my hand forever, it's just I'm terrified of regaining my lost weight, but I spose as long as I monitor it at home and if it starts to gain I could always quickly join group or re join online again x x

If I were you- save as much info and articles from SW online to your computer as you can. That way you can carry on at home and still have things to read to remind yourself if you forget anything!
