I'm wondering if anyone can give any advice as to why in 3 weeks I've put on 3lbs.... Yes 1lbs every week!
I go to the gym regularly and infact I've stepped up my gym and still I put on!
Has anyone else had this happen? And how to do I get back on track it's so hard now I've been knocked down every week for three weeks!
May I add prior to putting on I lost 11.5lbs...

Thank you, and look forward to hearing from you all

unless you are going awry on your eating plan then it's most likely fluid retention as your muscle retain fluid to repair. make sure you are drinking enough water, even more than normal. also make sure you are eating enough, you need more calories to fuel your increased activity, especially protein xx

Thank you for your reply. We'll if I'm being honest I have fallen off the wagon because the weight gain just frustrated me... I am going to stick to it this week and see how I go! I really hope this is the case and will take your advice re water - as I don't drink enough!

Its very common to see a short term gain when people start exercising or up their level of activity. It will even out though so don't get downhearted. Try taking your measurements and looking for non scale victories to bolster your motivation until the scales start going down again xx

Hi all - we'll I stopped my food diary as I'm about on week 10 of slimming world but today I started one on the SW website so I'll see if I was going wrong anywhere! I did mention to my coach that fat weighs less than muscle and maybe the jiggles on my thighs and belly are turning I to muscle, but I was told this was rubbish!!! I'm having a week off being weighed but sticking to plan so I'll see if I can loose this week!!
Thank you for all your kind words I think I would of given up on the plan all together if it wasn't for you xxxx

I don't believe so but if you use the mobile site you could take a screen shot and post it or just write it out on here as a typical day?

Here's yesterday's food it didn't add my dinner which was spag bow beef mince with onions tinned tomatoes and dolmio sauce think the syns were 5 for dinner as I used a sauce x

Hmm - I can kind of see where your coach is coming from! 1lb of fat weighs the same as 1lb of muscle. In fact 1lb of anything weighs the same as 1lb of anything else! By volume though, muscle takes up less space than fat. Muscle absorbs fat quicker than fat absorbs fat, so you need to increase your lean muscle in order for it to to be able to absorb fat. And while you are building it up you may see a slight weight gain. Normal.

Exercise + water, water, water and more water is definitely good advice.

Thanks....I feel a whole lot worse and silly ha! No I'm joking thank you for putting things Into perspective I've upped my water intake x

Here is my food diary for today - please give me any tips or things I'm doing wrong, apologies for the appalling dinner I am not at home this evening and it was the only way of stopping a full blown sabotage happening
