Okay I have a big posh lunch to go to with hubby. I suspect nothing will be SW friendly and there will be wine that if I don't drink will raise eyebrows soooooo plan today is to be off plan and hope and pray to the weightloss fairies that it doesn't sabotage me to much! That and the fact that I am absolutely going to flipping well enjoy it. The size 8 dress I am wearing will remind me of how far I have come. The compliments I hope to get (not seen these folk for 8 months and there has been quite a change) will also further cement how well I have done to lose weight. And then tomorrow I will climb firmly back aboard the wagon

This is not a diet, it's a lifestyle and sometimes life gets in the way. We need reminding of this when stuff happens and we go off course, for good reasons and bad! Keep trucking ladies and gents, we are all doing awesomely!!!

Gawsh how philosophical and so early too!!!

Love xxxxxxxx

I certainly think that a one-off "posh" event, which you wouldn't usually do, should be seen as a treat and worth enjoying without worrying too much. Do you know where you will be going? If so, google the restaurant and have a look at the menu, so you can think about your choices in advance.

And by all means have wine if you have planned for it, but why should it "raise eyebrows" if you don't drink? And what does it matter? It's up to you whether you decide to drink or not, and nothing to do with anyone's eyebrows!

I hope you have a wonderful time. Hubby and I went away last weekend and stayed with a friend who insisted on doing all the catering for the weekend and refused and help or contributions - he wanted to treat us. We had a wonderful weekend. but there was not a single vegetable in sight, the only fruit was on the label of alcohol bottles and we were treated to breakfast fry ups, picnics of pies, scotch eggs, fresh bread and butter, cheeses, etc and dinners of pizzas and pub grub.

I put on 4 lb during the weekend! But my new size 10 clothes still fit, I still feel great. I will easily lose the extra 4 lb because I know how and most importantly - I HAD A WONDERFUL WEEKEND. Real life happened and I didn't balloon to my original size 16 because - as you said - this is a lifestyle and it i is how I live now.

So enjoy your lunch. Enjoy looking gorgeous and enjoy the meal. You know that your lovely size 8 dress will still fit you next week.

I was about to say the same! I don't understand why people drink/eat certain things just because it's expected of them.

Well! I had ham terrine, followed by porcini ravioli. Then roasted cod followed by massive bowl of strawberries with cream (didn't eat the cream!). It was fine dining experience so portions were minuscule but omg was it lovely! Also three glasses of very lovely red wine and a g n t afterwards. No gain showing on the scales so I think I might have swerved a gain - whoop :). And the dress was gorgeous - would post a pic but stupid phone won't let me! :)

That does sound really lovely. And a real treat. So glad you enjoyed it - this sort of opportunity doesn't come along every day so it's good to grab it when it does.
