Good morning!

As above says really - has anyone made the transfer??

I have been dukanning for 4 weeks but not following the rules completely (100% attack monday - thursday then cruise friday and saturday and then saturday night and sunday i loose my way/fall off the wagon/go wild!!!) I think its the restriction that makes me go bonker - i cannot resits a drink and then everything is out the window!!

A good friend has just started sw and im contemplating joining her - I am getting married in 5 weeks so dont want to risk gaining any weight and if i could shift a few lbs between now and then wonderful and then my honey moon is in 9 weeks so a little more by then fab - im just worried about the transition as having a carb free week isnt giving me the results i expected (have lost 8lbs but plateaued for 2 weeks dispite lots of exercise!)

Any advice my lovelies???!xx

I did dukan, atkins and zoe harcombe...lost a bit with all of them but found it too restrictive... SW has no deprivation no banned foods ...you will take time to get your head round how much you can eat and the things you can eat and enjoy..I am still learning but it works...good luck

You can lose your target in 5weeks easily

Thanks for your replies.....
Im just concerned that i might suddenly expand in the 5 weeks between now and my wedding if i changed from such a restrictive diet to such a flexible one!!!

Is there anywhere that i could maybe get a plan to follow for cases like mine?!xx

I would recommend you reintroduce carbs gradually eg no more than one portion of potatoes/pasta/bread or rice per day for a couple of days in order to avoid bloat. Be aware that you may have a slight initial increase in weight - this won't be fat, but water-weight as carbs tend to make you hold on to water. It will be temporary though, and nothing to worry about; just persevere with the plan and you WILL lose.

If you are familiar with SW, you will know from this that I am bsically saying follow the Red plan, which is proteing rich and carb light, for a few days before having an EE day which allows more freedom with carbs. I would suggest avoiding Green days which are carb heavy for a week or more. SW is sustainable and as 'treats' are allowed it is relatively easy to stick to. Good luck.

As was said. Start with the red plan, it limits carbs! Tell your consultant your worries, they might have tips to help the transition! Best of luck

So, I braved it and joined up last night - the leader was really helpful and suggested as you guys have to focus on the red plan for now, expects a gain in the first week but then should level up later on.....eeeeek scary! will keep you posted!xx

Fingers crossed you wont have again or only a small one....and next week you will have a big drop you watch and see...good luck

Good for you! Keep us posted and don't be afraid to ask for help on here x
