Any advice for tonsillitis-related appetite?

I'll apologise in advance if this is in the wrong place, this is my second post :)
Basically I've been on antibiotics since Friday for my throat and although it feels much better today, food still doesn't taste as it should :( Over the weekend the only things I have eaten are a small pizza hut Margherita, a couple of slices of a Sainsburys garlic bread and what I could manage of a syn-free roast dinner! Today has been better and I'm 'back on it' but I still want strong, soft food for the flavour and so it doesn't hurt. I've got jacket spuds in for tea (probably have with salad, beans and HEa cheese).
Have done myself out of melon and strawbs cos they taste weird...
I could cry to be honest, that garlic bread was amazing, soooo tasty, but I got my 1/2st on Friday and I'm trying so hard not to do myself an injustice.
How have you coped when you've been unwell?

Hi, didn't want to read and run!
I don't cope very well when I'm poorly to be honest, normally I would just eat anything I could manage but since starting sw I try and have a vaguely sw friendly version.
Yoghurts instead of ice cream, homemade soups instead of heinz tomato and creamy chocolate (synned of course) and lots of squash.
Could you do a green or red day so you get the extra Hexs? This way you can make your own pizza bread or garlic bread? Xx

I couldnt eat pizza,and garlic,bread with a sore throat...soups are,ideal

Scrambled egg
chilled fruit
chilled yoghurt
low syn ice cream like mini milks

When I got my tonsils out a few years ago I had lots of;

- mashed potato
- scrambled egg/soft boiled egg/egg mayo etc
- beans
- mushy peas
- soups (lots of lovely flavours and a good way to stay on plan)
- rice pudding

I had read somewhere that when you have a bit of a dodgy throat, you're best to actually stay away from dairy. So this means bucking the trend for having ice cream. Fruit lollies are meant to be better.

That could just be a load of rubbish though but when I was in that much pain I would have tried anything! x

Thanks everyone, the pizza and garlic bread were soft not crunchy so were easy to swallow (in small mouthfuls).
I've just made some garlicky butternut squash soup which will be lovely and tasty. Unfortunately I'm not an egg person (don't mind the odd boiled egg but have really got to be in the mood). It's not as sore now when I swallow so hopefully this will be the end of it, 2 more days on antibs.
I'm going to go for a long walk this afternoon, do some shopping and make some syn-free meals for the rest of the week. I'm expecting a small, if any, loss now anyway because I've been curled up feeling sorry for myself and not been out much at all.
I've decided to get over it now and move on, we're at a wedding at the weekend so I'm making the choice not to go mad and to make sure there's lots of superfree food in the house so there's no excuse.
It's safe to say this has been my first bump in the road, thank you all for your advice :)

Lots of lollies to suck on...yoghurts and anything watery
