second week and stayed the same again :(

Hi all, I joined slimming world 2 weeks ago, first week I stayed the same and was really disappointed as I followed everything by the book and also wrote everything down on my food diary. Although I was tempted to give up I found staying to group motivated me to try again. So I left the group determined to get a weight loss this week, I stuck to plan and also increased my water intake as advised and I have stayed the same again :(
I am now extremely confused as to what am doing wrong and also where to go from here. I have messed about with crash diets for a few years now constantly going up and down with my weight. I changed my plan from extra easy to the red days as I was worried I was eating too many carbs and my body wasn't handling them well. Although this doesn't seem to have helped either. Did anybody have the same problem, could it be my body adjusting to a new diet? Not sure what else to do.

Hi, it could be your body adjusting. Are you eating enough superfree? It really does help. Maybe try varying your meals? your body might be getting used to the same foods if you're not. Or you could do a mixture of green, red and EE? You could post your food diary on here so people could have a look over it and give you some help and maybe see if there's anything wrong x

Has your consultant checked your food diary for you hun?

Could you post a copy of your daily food so people on here could have a look at it?

Hi thanks for the replies not sure if you can upload a picture of diary so il give you an example of a red day and an extra easy, see if anything stands out to you.

Red
Breakfast- lean bacon, egg, tinned tomatoes (maybe a piece of bread from HEX) or branflakes with milk allowance
Lunch- Chicken salad or tuna jacket (HEX) with lots of salad. Muller light yoghurt.
Dinner- salmon and veggies or beef and vegetables in a slow cooker using stock cubes and no oil.
Syns curly wurly, quavers or options hot choc (when I crave some chocolate)
In between meals I will snack on fruit eggs pears apples oranges banana or yoghurts.
Milk also used as other HEX
EE
Breakfast- bacon, egg, beans, tomatoes, mushrooms.
Lunch- pasta n sauce or jacket pot with salad or fruit.
Dinner- syn free chips, lamb chop or pork chop etc and lots of vegetables.
Syns- some sort of chocolate or crisps for evening snack.

My consultant has seen my diary and she can't see anythin that stands out she wants me to try and incorporate more super speeds but I feel like I am already and getting nowhere :( x

what are your portion sizes like? could be that. Do you have your hex's on EE? asking as I can't see them on the plan you posted x

Your diary seems ok and within limits? I have the same issues.......people I know lose tons of weight and then I lose half a pound or something...

Yes kally I use my HEX on both but have 2 HEX b on red days, is this right?
Dellyw7 It's so disheartening when you don't see the results you want isn't it but all them half pound etc will add up in the end and at least it's going in the right direction. Just wish mine would get moving I started with my mum and she lost 8 lb in her 1st week and 3 the second. Just wish I knew what to do.

I know I totally get you , I'm very results driven and u know it's about how you feel etc but I like to see scales move .. Can't lie it gives you that motivation

We can't see your stats but if you don't have much to lose or have joined SW off the back of another plan it may take a few weeks to see any results. Particularly bad is if you have been on a vlcd or a meal replacement plan.

Hi I am new on here and noticed the problem you have been having.. I joined SW about 3 years ago and lost 3.1/2 stone in 6 months I then fell preggers and took a break after having my baby as I was breastfeeding and felt under too much pressure trying to lose.. I rejoined SW 3 weeks ago and lost 4 pound my first week but stayed the same the past 2 weeks it really is so disheartening and I have been eating relatively the same food as my first week just mixing them up but one thing I did notice was that I actually did a lot of body magic my first week (walking) everyday and hadn't the last 2 weeks due to bad weather so I'm thinking this may be the reason ? Fingers crossed we shall see on Monday!! Have you been doing any body magic Hun? Xx

Hey everyone! Success this week I lost 5 and 1/2 pound. Absolutely over the moon and feel so motivated now. I think it probably has been because I had done meal replacement diets before and it's taken a while to kick in. I have also done a few days on the origional plan as I felt too many potatoes pasta etc bloated me. Am going to stick to mostly origional days but I am struggling with lunches and snacks. I am a but fed up or eating salads, has anybody got any recepies or ideas please. Thank you so much for all your advice so far. Xx

give it another couple of weeks but don't give in - it will all come together in the end. What I have found - over many years of being on diets and following WW and SW - and my concoctions of eating plans etc that if you stick to it - after about 20 weeks you will have lost between 15 - 20 lb's..................some peope lose loads more, some people lose a little less but generally speaking it is in that range.

one time on SW I was eating grapes and bananas and cherries - and my weight loss was VERY slow - I know SW say you can eat these fruits without worrying - and they are a free food - well the consultant said 'just cut them out for a couple of weeks and lets see' - over the next two weeks NOT eating those fruits at all - I lost 6lb's.

Have you started SW after being on a different weight loss plan ? it could be just your body readjusting.

YOU may be a slow loser - but it will work - it works for anyone and everyone.

You can do it - it will work for you - give it a bit more time but NEVER GIVE IN. (you may find that you suddenly have a 7lb's weight loss) - BTW do you have any medical conditions or tablets or treatments that might hamper your weight loss too.

Good luck.

I started with my mum and she lost 8 lb in her 1st week and 3 the second. Just wish I knew what to do.

Have you tried going shopping with your mum and perhaps planning your weekly menu with her? She is obviously having success and I'm sure that she feels your frustration and would be happy to help you kick start your weight loss. In an extreme case you could even pop over there for a day or for dinner (or perhaps a few days) and get your mum to dish you up exactly what she's having.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.
