Extra Easy Getting Over a Gain

Hi guys, I gained a pound this week. I think it's partly water retention and hormones, as it's Star Week (or should be) and I'm feeling like I'm going to explode. I also think I need to cut down on the free and hike up the superfree, although I am filling my plate properly etc etc, I don't know.

Anyway I'm trying to get my head round the gain, it's just a bump in the road etc, I've done so well and I'm bound to not lose big amounts all the time, it IS Star Week, and so on...

Anyone got any mindful things to help us keep on-plan?

Thanks

You've had great losses so far but sometimes that can make a gain (however tiny) feel worse somehow! I'd definitely say its just because of water retention. I was just talking about this in another thread! Epsom salts baths are great for drawing out excess body fluid and curing bloated tummies during "star weeks". I'd definitely advise avoiding the scales until next weigh in - it'll only wreak your head :)

You've been doing fab with your weight loss! A stone in a month! :) That's my goal for my first month and you've inspired me that it IS possible! Keep your head this week and be nice to yourself. From what I've seen on these boards everyone gets gains now and then - it's how you react to them that proves your strength. Because let's face it - weight loss, despite what some folks *cough cough* Katie Hopkins *cough cough* think, requires strength.

I will do my best.

I have stepped up my walking (no pun intended) and did 24,760 steps yesterday. That is over 11 miles according to my pedometer.

I'm also drinking lots of water.

I will shrug my shoulders and get on with it, you have to try, don't you?
