Extra Easy New starter, period question

Hello,

I joined slimming world wirld two weeks ago (tomorrow) and since then I have found this site extremely friendly and useful.
I am happy to have joined and to say Hello :)

I do have a query though that I've not been able to find an answer for.
Since the day after I started slimming world I have had a period (so 12 days) which is unpleasant, especially as with the implant I don't normally have periods - normally 3 days every few months.
I am wondering if it is just a coincidence, or if it's because I am eating healthier or starting to lose weight.
I would love to know if anyone else has experienced this.

I am 16st3lbs at the moment, and had an sts at my first weigh in after following 100%, but last time I dieted many moons ago I was a slow starter so not worried.

Thank you in advance

There are tons of options with your Contraception however I had not found that my patterns changed due to the lifestyle changes I have made with SW.
With the changes to your patterns, I would speak to your CASH clinic as it sounds like it may be wearing off, getting low or maybe a reaction has taken place?
Check your pamphlet you were issued after your procedure to see if this is listed as a side-effect.

Depending on your implant, some may make you find losing weight exceptionally hard, it may be worth speaking to your CASH clinic and maybe getting it changed?

Currently, I use an implant as well and am getting it changed next week. One of the real deal clinchers for me was the weight gain/loss tendency it gave (i.e. doesn't tend to have effects on weight) however getting the implant fitted is a tad invasive as I opted for the IUS rather than the stick you get implanted in your arm.
Because of the location, the hormone dose of the IUS is extremely low so returning to normal is a matter of weeks rather than months or years (in the case of the pill).

Which are you using if you don't mind me asking?
