Hi all, new around here hope I'm posting in the right section. I bought some curry powder in Aldi today. I put it in to syns online and the brand etc came up and said 11.5 syns on extra easy. I am on extra easy.

My question is how would I syn this like I am not going to use the full container of it I am only going to use a few spoonfuls to make a sauce for chips?

Hope I have explained that right

Weigh the amount you are going to use. Compare it with the weight of the whole pack (which will be written on the pack somewhere). Then divide.

As an example. If a pack has 12 syns, and weighs 24g, that's 1 syn per 2g. If you are going to use 4g, then that's 2 syns.

Hi thanks for the reply. I feel so dopey I'm still a bit confused! The tub is 250g so if I use 40g what would that be? 6?

I get so confused when it comes to sauces even gravy I always thin I'm synning them wrong.

I would say 40g would be 2 Syns. 250g / 12 Syns (rounded up from 11.5) = 20. So 20g is 1 Syn.

That's how I worked it out anyway.

I thought curry powder was free - eek!

Normal curry powder is free - I think this is an actual curry sauce that comes in powder form, you just add water to it to make it up. A bit like the Mayflower one.

I'm guessing so anyway, judging by the thread name and the fact that the SW website worked it out as 12 Syns per tub.
