Hi all,

Decided to start a step 3 food diary so I can see where I am & it may give ideas to any other step 3ers out there.
I started at 11,2 on CD. I lost 10lb on my own prior to CD but took me 3 months messing about. So decided I needed help & heard about CD. I've done SS for 4 weeks, 810 for 4 weeks & now on 1000 to shift 2 lb then I'll move to 1200 etc. I lost 28 lb on SS & 810 to get me to goal (almost 2lb off goal of 9 st).

It would be great if anyone has any tips for meals etc for this plan & feel free to pull my food diary to bits if u think it's not within 1000 guidelines.

Good luck all whatever plan ur doing xxxx

Ok, here goes

(Saturday) Day 1 -1000

Breakfast- CD Porridge

Lunch- egg, salad sandwich
(1 med boiled egg sliced on 2 low calorie whole meal bread (works out same calories as 1 granary) & mixed green salad (with drizzle of honey & mustard light dressing)

Dinner- Ham,egg & chips!
(60g lean sliced ham, 1 med egg done in fry light, 180g homemade oven chips with fry light & salad garnish as above. ( this was heaven!))
Dessert- 100g apple

Evening Snack- cup a tea & CD chewy choc bar

2litres of water through day in addition to tea/coffee

I felt really full & human after eating this lot! It was like a treat day! I'm normal again & in size 10 jeans - what more could a girl ask for! Xxxx

(Sunday) Day 2- 1000

Breakfast- CD Porridge & cup of coffee

Mid morning - 1/2 peanut CD bar & cup of tea.

Lunch- ham, salad sandwich
(60g lean ham (same calories as 1 med egg) sliced on 2 low calorie whole meal bread (works out same calories as 1 granary) & mixed green salad (with drizzle of honey & mustard light dressing)

Mid afternoon - 1/2 peanut CD bar & cup of tea.

Dinner- 200g Haddock, 200g new potatoes cubed & green beans(unweighed) - all roasted in a bag together, makes it really tasty & moist with mixed herbs. (wasn't 330g haddock as I couldn't possibly eat that much).

2litres of water through day in addition to tea/coffee.

Can I just say THANK YOU for this I love the food diaries really so much help I was on 1000 cals before I went on holiday and tbh I'm one of these people who needs the store cupboard full do I don't end up being tempted to stray That's the hardest part I found plus my grazing that turns into binging :-(.
Anyway this is a massive help to me thank you again xx
Ps well done on 9stone xx

you're very welcome. Hope u had a great holiday & its nottt ttoo daunting returning to CD after the hol.

I'm on step 4 now, so 1200 cals

today i've had;

Breakfast-CD Porridge & coffee & water

mid morning- Mixed fruits (melon, kiwi & strawberries) & water

Lunch - Boiled egg slice, lean slice of ham, 20g WW grated cheese, Mixed lettuce leaves, spring onions, cucumber, green peppers, cress & balsamic vinegar served on a Warburtons brown sandwich quare (toasted -these are only 100cals each & yummy, would make a nice pizza) & water

Mid afternoon - CD peanut bar & coffee

Dinner - I will be having another under 400 cal meal (honestly I've had a few different ones & they are gorgeous, I don't like WW ones, they are small, bland & tasteless.) Tonight's one is Chicken Korma, bombay potatoes & pilau rice with a side salad. Orange sugar free jelly for dessert & water

I had this up to around 1200 cals with milk...

Did you lose going up the steps? I'm moving up to step 3 in a couple of weeks. I'll still have a stone or so to target tho. Am nervous of maintenance. It's nice to see Other people doing it successfully this section so quiet... Are you going to stick with cc? Must be amazing to be at goal :) x

Sounds good plan. You seem to have right approach x

Yes I lost on all steps. On the week I moved up a step I had small loss of 1lb then week after a big loss. I moved up with a stone to lose onto step2 for 4weeks then 2 wks on step3, 2 wks on step4 & now one week on step5. I can't stay any longer on steps if I lose this wk coz my BMI will drop below 20. So step 2 was -1lb then -3lb & each step seems to have followed suit. It's like my body was getting used to all the extra food so a small loss, then metabolism kicked in & big loss. If u know what I mean. I feel guilty at times the amounts I'm eating.
The plan is ace. The removal of food on SS was like rehab for me & I can't ever imagine binging again. I've never calorie counted in my life before. It is good because you can have a little of everything. Diets in the past for me were always NO SWEETS, CHOC, CRISPS, BOOZE ETC. so no wonder I gave up a a week or two. I have had 4 nights out during maintenance & drank vodka & slimline tonic & chose food carefully & still lost. It shows it is a lifestyle change but its possible to enjoy food & drink again once at goal without piling on lbs if you be aware of what you're eating. I save 100 cals a day mon-fri for Saturdays(nite/meal out), Not sure if this is correct but it's working for me.
Good luck with ur move up the steps & let me know how u get on. It's exciting, not far for you to go now x

Never answered your Q "am I sticking with CD?".
Yes , I have 2 holidays booked. 1 in 5 wks for a week SC in Turkey & another in 12wks for 16nts Caribbean cruise. I've discussed these itch CDC & she says I can SS for 1-2 wks after each holiday & it will repair any damage. This prob won't be needed after 1 wk in Turkey but it will be needed after cruise I'm sure.
I'm going to CDC shop every sat in meantime to weigh in for my satisfaction. She wants to take photos for shop to advertise, the before & after. I live in a small town with 30,000 residents so could be good for business showing a local who has hit target.
Keep in touch xx

Wow. Your post was awesome to read. A reassurance that I really needed. I'm scared of getting there. I'm ready but scared that I won't get that final bit off and that if I do I won't have the self control to keep it off. I understand a lot of why I'm overweight. I understand what I need to do to fix it. I just am scared that I won't do it x I'm sure I'll be fine. I have great support around me to help me get there. Please keep us updated with how you're doing. It's so important to see how it works for other people x

You seem really motivated so I'm sure you'll do it xxx

I gotta do it. I can't hate myself anymore. I need to be a role model for my kids. And all the other reasons lol x

How ya doing? I've not posted on this for a while. My days have been pretty much the same. I've just been weighed today & officially finished step 5. So that's it now. I will still pop into CDC shop once a week for next month to keep an eye on weight but no more products. I'm 4lb under goal but go on holiday in 3 wks so that'll be interesting to see how I cope in Turkey for a week.
Hope you're ok
