15g through veg ?

    I seem to have difficulty making up 15.0g carbs through the vegetables/salad , i'm sure i read that somewhere am i doing something wrong?:confused::confused:

    Diet:
    Atkins with an eye on the calories
    I tend to go with making sure I have a good 5 portions of veg / salad per day rather than sticking to a 15 minimum - I use up some of my carbs on cheese and some meats which tends to bring it to 15 or 20g per day in total, but 15 of that won't necessarily be from veg...

    Broccoli is a good one for getting a few carbs in I find, and tasty too :)

    Thanks Hooya , that makes it a lot easier. I have been adding cheese,cream& sausages etc to make it up to about 20g.

    Try things like celeriac or cauliflower to make up the veg carbs... :) You can do all sorts with them.

    I find a breakfast of cabbage and bacon is an easy way to get that exra cup in.

    I had no difficulty getting in 3 mugs of fresh green leaves a day.

    Hmmm. I love this. I get a bag of frozen shredded savoy, a bag of frozen mushrooms and a pack of smoked bacon lardons. Fry it all up together in a huge wok and split into portions. Depending on my carb count I will also crumble a bit of stilton in too.

    Have you tried the cabbage and leek mix, I love it.
