Morning all. Well we did this most of last year but by the end of the year i certainly fell by the wayside. 2019 started very quickly for me and its only now i am getting a plan together

So the exerercise challenge is simple. Set yourself an execise goal for the month. What do you want to do? What will challenge you?

Is it counting steps?
Swimming lenghts?
Hula hooping?
Wii fit?
C25K?
Running?
Mountain climbing?
Vibration plate (jiggling)

Set you goal and report back as you achieve.

February has 28 days with 8 weekend days and 20 weeks days and starts this Friday.

My goal simple enough. Im having some problems with my ankles and walking not so easy but havent renewed my pool membership either.
So plan is to use vibration plate (jiggle) 5 times a week and to walk or swim 5 times a week too.

Goal
Jiggle 20 times 0 done 20 to go
Walk/swim 20 times 0 done 20 to go

Count me in Tipp..thanks for setting this up.
As I never go for a walk at weekends I'll say I plan to walk 5 times a week and go on Wii 2 times a week. Pool once a week.
And Tippy, you've inspired me to get the vibro back out..I'll do that 7 times a week.

Goal is:
Walk: 20 times 0 done 20 to go
Vibration plate: 28 times 0 done 28 to go
Wi: 8 times 0 done 8 to go
Pool: 4 times 0 done 4 to go

🏃🏻Happy Exercising x

Welcome in Tibbs and hopefully you come up with some interesting vibration plate exercises for me. I do 15 mins at level 30 each morning (it goes 1_99)

Hi all, I'll join!

Main goal is to run a half marathon which is booked for 17th of Feb - I don't care how long it takes me but would really like to run all the way without having to stop to walk.

Other than that just go for regular runs as time / work allows.

Best of luck with your goals

My daughter tried to explain the 30 day plank to me:eek:

And we are off. Though about a walk this morning but it minus three and roads a sheet of ice. So stayed put and had a jiggle. And thanks ti a bit of prodding from Tibbs added some squats to it.

Goal
Jiggle 20 times 1 done 19 to go
Walk/swim 20 times 0 done 20 to

Good luck everyone🦄
Feb 1st
Walk (this was more like a yomp! I was out 1hr 35mins and need a medal!
1 done 19 to go
Vibro: only did 5mins, 1 done 27 to go
Wii: 0 done 8 to go
Swim: 0 done 4 to go

@tipperary our vibro goes from 1-20, 10 is comfortable, 15 starts to hurt my lower back & anything over I lose my balance.
In the past I've done bent knees and skiing actions with my arms & doing same but turning body to sides..don't know if I've explained that right🤔
Also, arms in air, stretch one arm over head and other down outside of your leg.
You can do a version of the plank with your knees on the floor too..worth doing as you really feel the wobbles in your upper arms and back x

My addition to February 2019 exercise challenge.
I'm going to try and achieve 1022.4 km this month.

I had a little period of weight gain at the start of last month.
Have had to be a little more disciplined with my diet.
Increased the resistance level on cycle as due to my fitness level activity is too easy.
Weight at 214 lbs this morning and looking to get to 210-211 lbs by March 2019.
Certainly hopeful of hitting target in June/July 2019.

The only exercise I log is my time on the exercise bike.
That's 24 out of 28 Days at an average of 42.6 km on each exercise day.

I do two sessions a day most days @ 35 minutes, 92-100 rpm, 36-40 kph, 120-130 bpm & 240-260 Watts.

Previous Months

2019) January 1249.8 km
2018) July 1097.4 km, August "Ouch", September 355 km, October 972.1 km, November 1165.79 km, December 1142.3 km
2018) January 1109 km, February 1182 km, March 1246.7 km, April 1279.8 km, May 1216.9 km, June 1123.1 km
2017) December 1070 km, November 985.8 km, October 1090 km, September 970 km, August 494 km.

17,750.60 km covered from August 2017 up to end Jan 31st 2019.
