5/2 week ??

    Have seen some people are doing 5/2 plan what is this ?? Is it stick to plan five days then eat at weekends they are saying weight loss is still really good I started today had four pks so far so good x

    Hi zoe
    No its the other way round. Eat no more than 500 cals a day for 2 separate days (say Mon & Thurs) and eat normally for the other 5.

    I gave it a go once but weirdly eating 500 cals of normal food is hellish compared to VLCD packs! And the weightloss is a lot slower. Google it, theres loads of info online. Its supposed to be good for ur body, regular fasting.

    It's great. & yer it's slower but your more likely to keep it off.

    You just eat normally for 5 days. Up to your TDEE, mines about 2300 cals which is loads so I just eat as I would at the mo. 500 cal days are hard to start but I did my 8th fast yesterday & I was fine after a 95 cal snack at 2, then had my tea with my family at 5.

    There are a couple of Facebook groups, full of facts and loads of support!!!

    I did struggle to eat today, which I think is a knock on effect from fasting. I had a big tea cos didn't eat much today & had tummy ache like i had eaten too much.

    Dieting for 2 days a week is so much easier than 7! Plus what I can't have on a fast day I can have tomo!!

    Sounds quite good will look into it at the moment just doing 4 packs a day with veg allowance and milk might throw in a lifestyle at weekend does it really hurt the diet to have one takeaway now and again being careful what you have ?? We usually have a monthly takeaway with family I'm dreading it as this is happening in two weeks time !! Also I hate sweeteners I've tried putting one sugar in meal planner and still keeps me in ketosis so I presume that would be ok xxx

    No it doesn't hurt to have a takeaway.

    If I was Having a takeaway I would prob fast for as long as I could that day & enjoy the takeaway in the evening. That way less cals & more likely to enjoy all the more.

    This plan will not keep you in ketosis though.

    You just get to enjoy food!

    Would like to try and stay in ketosis so if I did have takeaway will choose very carefully any ideas which is best while I don't go out it's ok but staying in and not seeing anyone till I get to target is abit anti social lol xxx

    Sorry think I confused everyone I'm doing the simplicity but going to pop in a few lifestyle if needed it's day four tomorrow still going strong !! was just enquiring about the other plan as I've seen it mentioned a few times xx so how are you doing what plan are you on xx

    What's simplicity lol? I'm doing 5:2 fasting diet, am now at goal though so am doing 6:1 to maintain. How you finding it? Xxx

    Slim and save simplicity 4 shakes / meals / bars a day have 3 stone to loose xx

    I see! I done exante to start with last year then moved to 5:2 as I was nearing goal, reached goal and use the the 5:2 principles to maintain. :) I wish you every success in your journey xxx
