64 pounds to lose!!

Hi Everyone I'm Jules

At the moment I am not living life like I see everyone else live it! I worry about what I look like in my work clothes, if I go out with friends socialising its always a nightmare to pick and outfit and be happy to be out and now I even dont feel confident with my partner. Its not a life its a routine. Due to my weight going up my confidence has gone down. I have 2 beautiful girls, a lovely partner and a job I enjoy so there is only ME stopping ME from being happy!

I joined SW last week and I had my first weigh in yesterday and I lost 1.5lbs which I know is a loss but it did leave me a little disappointed as it was my first week and I wanted more! After finding my way around this site and speaking to a couple of people I have been advised to start a food diary and I have taken their advice agree that this is a good place to start!

So today I have had:

Breakfast
Porridge - 28g HEB
Semi Skimmed Milk - 250g HEA
1 mug of tea

Lunch
Chicken breast piece
Salad - lettuce, cucumber, red onion, white cabbage, carrot
1/2 pack of beef flavour savory rice
2 tablespoons of low fat Heinz salad cream (4 syns)

Dinner
Chicken caserole cooked in slow cooker with onions, carrots, mushrooms
Colmans Chicken Caserole mix (2 syns (6 syns for whole meal but shared with the family))
Boiled white rice

Snacks
2 bananas
portion of grapes
Melon

Total syns for today: 6 syns

Feeling completely full and hopeful that I am doing this right!
 
I know how you feel i feel the same, but i've never had the advantage of being smaller i've always been bigger than what I am now, but its always affected my confidence, and now my best friend is slower becoming my boyfriend i find myself pushing him away cos i don't like how i look...anyway...welcome to SW, a 1.5lb weight loss is fab, you have to remember you aren't as big as some people so will most likely have smaller losses :)

By the way, you can have 35g of porridge oats according to the SW website HE list.

it's terrible isn't it that we waste our lives thinking about what other people think of us but I just hate the way I look in everything and I am so self conscious!

Fingers crossed this is our turning point and 2013 is our year to change.

Hope all goes well with ur best friend - remember life is too short so enjoy the good things that are right in front of u but u just don't notice and don't let your weight stop u - its u as a person people like (wish I could practice what I preach! Ha ha).

Breakfast:

Mug of tea

Lunch:
Ham
Salad - lettuce, red onion, white cabbage, carrot
2 tablespoons of light heinz salad cream (4 syns)

Dinner:
chicken breast
Veg-carrots, peas, broccoli, green beans, sprouts
Boiled new potatoes
Gravy (2 syns)

Snacks:
2 bananas
Fresh Pineapple pieces
Mug shot - chicken & sweetcorn

Total syns for the day - 6
 
It's sunday night and I'm just trying to wind down ready for a new week and it's a good time to update my diary-

FRIDAY

Breakfast:
Porridge - 28g (HEB)
Skimmed milk - 250 ml (HEA)
Mug of tea

Lunch:
Ham
Salad - lettuce, red onion, white cabbage, carrot
2 tablespoons of light heinz salad cream (4 syns)

Dinner:

fillet steak
2 small jacket pots with 2 teaspoons of flora (2 syns)
Mushroom/peppers/red onion - fried in Fri light with black pepper
Baked beans


Snacks:
1 banana
Melon
Mug shot - chicken & sweetcorn

Total syns for the day - 6

Did badminton for one hour with other half after work!!


SATURDAY

Breakfast:
Porridge - 28g (HEB)
Skimmed milk - 250 ml (HEA)
Mug of tea

Lunch:
2 slices wholemeal bread (400g loaf hovis) - 5 syns
Baked beans
Black pepper

Dinner:
Chinese takeaway!
Mushroom chowmein - cooked with no oil (after reading a post on here I asked if they would do this and they did which made it free!!)
Boiled rice
1/2 mushroom curry - 9 syns

Total syns for today - 14

SUNDAY

breakfast:
2 slices wholemeal bread (HEB)
2 eggs - fried in fri lite
Mushrooms - fried in fri lite
Baked beans

Lunch:
Roast Lamb (3 syns)
3 scoops Mash pots made with flora proactive (3 syns)
Broccoli/carrots/peas/cauliflower
Gravy (4 syns)

Dinner

Sardines in tomato sauce
2 slices of wholemeal bread ( 5 syns )
1/2 packet beef savory rice

Total syns for today: 15

It was a nice weekend - sad its now 10.20 on sunday night and its all over.

Weigh in last nite and lost another 1.5lbs this week - really wanted more again. I have stuck to the plan.

Just wait and see what next week brings.

Still feeling motivated which is good x
 
Well done! That's 5lb off in just 3 weigh in's, brilliant.

Just so you know, the Healthy Extra allowance for porridge is 35g, not 28g. You're missing out on a full 7g! xx
 
Least you are steadily losing it, i find is if comes of steadily it stays off better :)
