80lbs to go! {Airlyeth's Weight Loss Diary}

Morning all!

Well another weigh in followed by another disappointment. Since I started the Insanity program a week and five days ago I haven't shifted a pound - and I'm in so much pain from doing it!

I've been fluctuating between 15st 10lbs and 15 stone 11lbs and it is driving me crackers. I know, I know, you shouldn't weigh yourself every day but I feel like I'm working so hard and eating so well that, surely, something must come off??

I'm considering joining WW or SW next week to see if I can kick start the weight loss. The exercise is certainly doing me good and my body feels a lot better and a lot tighter, but there's just nothing doing in shifting the actual weight, which is what motivates me the most.

Hurumph.

Hi,

Its good to know there's someone on here in a similar place. Perhaps we can be buddies?

On a diary note:
I finished my second week of insanity today! Today was Pure Cardio and Cardio abs. Ouch! Burned 562 calories over both workouts which I'm fairly pleased with. I'm very achy though.

I'm quite proud of myself for actually doing it as I'm staying at my Boyfriends house this weekend, so it would have been easy to sack it off and say I'd do it another day. But I stuck to it so I'm proud of that. Tomorrow is a rest day which I am immensely pleased about!

The eating front hasn't been so great! It's been worse though. Yesterday I did my insanity workout in the morning then following that I had a chocolate chip tracker and two satsumas. I had an interview so I was pretty nervous and didn't want to eat. Then after my interview I was straight on the train to Manchester, so I ended up getting ravenous. When my bf suggested takeaway I was too grumpy and hungry to argue so ended up having a chicken wrap and chips. I did however steer clear of the dreaded pizza but still not keen on knowing the overall calorie total of that!

Today has been better... so far. I skipped breakfast, I know tut tut. Then for lunch had a turkey breast and ham salad from Subway - not a sub or a flat bread. Little victories.

For dinner we're off to an all you can eat place but after a bit of research I've found that they have sushi and noodles and all the food is made in front of you to order so you can dictate exactly what goes in it. I'm going to be as good as gold and stick to salad and low fat foods as much as possible. May treat myself to a sneaky white wine spritzer too :)

Hi Dee,

Thank you. It's hard with socialising to eat well but my boyfriend has been really supportive and I'm feeling a lot better for it!

So today has been good, although I haven't eaten much. For breakfast I had shreddies and a cup of tea and since then I haven't really eaten - I just don't feel hungry for some reason!

I did day 15 of the Insanity workout which was a repeat of the fit test I did on beginning. The results are amazing and have spurred me on so much.

Switch Kicks - Went from 76 to 78
Power Jacks - Went from 33 to 50
Power Knees - Went from 50 to 76
Power Jumps - Went from 0 to 10
Globe Jumps - Went from 0 to 7 (not really sure if this is accurate as I lost count and guessed!)
Suicide Jumps - Went from 0 to 11
Push up Jacks - Went from 0 to 15
Low Plank Oblique - Went from 32 to 44

As you can see, the first time I did the fit test I noped out half way through and had to lie down. This time, although I was in pain I powered through and was so pleased to see how fat I've come in just 15 days! I can do push ups!!! I'm so psyched!

Anyhow, dinner tonight is a sweet potato with salad and grilled chicken - I'm looking forward to it.

Today I watched Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead, which is a documentary about juice fasting. It looked really interesting and the results are amazing. Any one had any joy or experiences with this?

Hope everyone is doing well and powering through. I really hope the scales show a change when I step on on Wednesday!

Hi all,

So yesterday wasn't good. Because it was the last day with the bf we ended up having a bit of a blow out. We went for lunch and I had a BBQ chicken wrap with chips and a glass of wine. Then we went to see the Hunger Games at the cinema and we had pick n mix.

Thing was, I didn't even feel good for it. I just felt full and uncomfortable, so different to how I felt the last few nights. So hopefully that's a learning curve for me. Even worse, because I felt so sluggish I ended up not doing insanity yesterday so that just made me feel worse. So, I'm shifting my days down which means I don't get a rest on Sunday. But oh well!

Weighed myself this morning after having a bagel and two coffees and I'm at 15stone 9.5lbs, so hopefully when I do an official weigh in tomorrow morning I'll get more than a 0.5lb drop. Fingers crossed. Insanity tonight, actually looking forward to it. Never thought I'd say that!

I really want to see the hunger games! Have you read the books? X

I have read the books and I really enjoyed them despite thinking I wouldn't! Have you read them?

Just done Insanity - Cardio Circuit. I should have done it yesterday and after that i've vowed to never again take a rest day when I shouldn't! That hurt! According to my HRM my average heart rate was 168, so I burned around 448 calories, although every time I checked it was higher than that! I'll take 448 though!

I'm in pain now though!

I thought I wouldn't enjoy them too and put them off for ages. Then I read them and absolutely loved them! Can't wait to go see it! X

Hi all!

Today has been decent food-wise. This morning I juiced up some 3 pears, 3 apples, and 2 satsumas and that was my breakfast. Then, for lunch I had a barm with ham, mustard and pickled gherkin. I've yet to have dinner.

I've just finished day 18 of Insanity. Today was Pure Cardio and Cardio Abs. Truth be told, my heart wasn't in it today but I got it done, so that's all that matters.
I also learned today the difference between gross and net calorie burn, although I'm too tired to explain it. I'll just say that my gross calories burned was around 514 and my net was around 437.

On the plus side the scales said 15st 9 today so after fluctuating between 15st 10 and 11 the number has finally gone down! I'm so pleased. I know it's not a huge leap but just to be in single figures on the lb side is nice. My one regret of starting this program is not measuring myself before starting. I know I've become more toned over the last two and half weeks and I definitely feel less flabbier. I kind of wish I had taken my measurements to begin with but I have decided to dig out my trusty tape measure and take them tomorrow so I can take them weekly from now on.

Are you eating enough???

There are some studies that show, in diets where calories are highly restricted, there can be a significant reduction in metabolism, and as a result the weightloss that is achieved. If you are not eating very much, and are now doing all this crazy exercise, your body can go into starvation mode, and store what calories are eaten. Just a thought, as you seem to be doing huge amounts of hard work, and eating well.
