Id appreciate others points of view on this.
Since Ive started counting the calories Ive been having around about 1500. The app I use on my phone has worked out my BMR as 1700 something - cant remember exactly! - and my daily calorie limit as 1700 based on my being lightly active. I tend to go to the gym most days for about an hour and based on the HRM on the machines Im burning about 400-500 cals, so eating between 1500 - 1700 Im happy Im in some kind of deficit most days. With me so far?!
Ive just discovered on my app it has a way of adding other day to day activies such as desk work, driving and all the day to day things I do. Now putting all this in for a typical day with the gym on top it works out Im using about 2500 cals!!! Now granted I take the calories used on it with a pinch of salt cos hey always work out more than the gym hrm, Im still slightly concerned on days Im only having 1500 cals and going to the gym, Im nearly 1000 cals short. Ive not felt massively hungry since starting although yesterday I was really tired (which I had put down to a bad mood).
Im just curious what other people think about this? My main fear is I get used to having too little calories too quickly and end up stalling my weight loss or that I have no energy to keep up exercising long term
