Advice for having a night off Exante (& on Alcohol!)

I've got my work christmas party on Friday. I've planned to have the night off the plan, but I want to minimise the damage as much as possible!

I'm aware that alcohol and VLCD's don't mix, but i'm wondering how best to get round it. Is it better to have a meal with carbs in for lunch, or just to drink something with sugar or citric acid just before I have a drink?

Foodwise for the meal I've mostly stuck to the protein options, so that shouldn't be too bad as I can leave the bits that aren't suitable, but the following morning, would it be better to have a small meal within the exante options, or just get straight back on the packs?

So many questions!!!

When I know Im going to get drunk that night, I will eat normally (healthy normal) that whole day, then straight back on it the next day, just dont expect a big loss the week after, I normally gain a few pounds just from the alcohol!
