Am I ever going to do this..........................

I must have stopped & started about 20 times.

I always get so far then just binge my way right back up again.

My problem is that I am an emotional eater - I eat when I am happy/sad/stressed/celebrating/commiserating - So yeah every reason you could think of.

The thing is I really really do want to be at a nice weight & I just wish I could get myself together & just do it - I think people are like come on get a grip its not that hard - but for me it is!!!

Anyway rambling on.

I am going to set myself a new goal & this will be my wee thread joureny of the ups & downs - I hope that this will help.

Anyway I am going to be 30 in March & I would love to be at my goal weight for then.

Soooooooooooooo to get me started - first goal lose 7lbs.

I got weighed yesterday & I was 12st 7lbs.

So my first goal is 12st on the button.

I am following slimming world for the moment.

L - 2 Slices of Curry Loaf, Wafer Thin Chicken, Sweet & Spicy Sour Mugshot
S - 1/2 Apple, Activia Fat Free Strawberry
D - 4 Egg Omelette, Mushrooms, Onions, Bacon, 2 Tbsps Tom Sauce (2 Syns)

Total Syns Today 2

Not sure this is a very good diet or not but its free includes fruit & vegetables & 2 syns in total so hopefully this will work!!!

Just take it one day at a time, I have started and restarted so many times. I have realized that the more I beat myself up, or feel guilty for eating something "bad" the more likely I am to binge eat (Yep, I'm an emotional eater too!).

You have made a great start :)

Like you say if you have a bad day or a bad weekend dont let it turn into a bad week - I think thats what I have been guilty of doin in the past.

Started off ok but I just gave into the temptation & the main reason was because I was lazy & didnt take my lunch to work.

Tomorrow I am going to be good during the day but I am at a friends for dinner & drinks tomorrow night.

Back on track on Saturday - I wont update tomorrow but will let you all know how I get on on Saturday.

I also have a wee fat day at the weekend where I just completely binge on food - this needs to stop so I am going to do food diary for these days in the future aswell.

Ok so WI 12st 4.5lbs.

Lost 0.5lb.

Better than nowt - However I am still in pig out mode which is not good.

Had McDs Brekkie but had 4 Hash Browns instead of a burger which is still bad.

I can relate to having stuff off plan, it usually happens when I'm not organised with my shopping; can you plan to save some syns for the weekend and concoct some tasty free meals for the rest of the week til next WI? I find it easier when I've got something nice to look forward to (like SW chips or veg chilli) that is satisfying. 0.5lb is still a loss, so be proud!!
