Amazing Image Therapy

    Tonight was really motivating as a group we lost 38lbs but had put 49lb on most of the people that stayed had put on for one reason or another. So our C (who is great) made us all sit and close our eyes and think about how we feel right now and how we want to feel next week when we have just been weighed. Then she got us to image yourself being at target or at the party your losing weight for or at your wedding or xmas (you get the idea) then you had to imagine what comments people made about how you looked and you spoke to people. It was really good some people struggled to see themselves so she got them to think about a dress or jeans etc something to focus on. Just thought I would share this with everyone it was very good for getting back your focus on why we are all doing this! :D

    That sounds like real good talk I didn't get to stay tonight and have managed to eat tube of rolos and 2 hi fi bars! I'll prob have the 2.5lb loss on again :((( shuld know better!!!

    our C has done that one before too, it is good and even now I have a flash back image in my head of me in a floaty maxi dress in a sunny park, that was my image. Not quite there yet but watch this space.

    this week we had a stand in C, she got us to write down how we felt on our first meeting and the reasons we joined in the first place and then talked through them, I found it really helpful as I have been playing with the same 7 pounds for 3 months!!!!! am more motivated for getting my 2 stone awaard now, jsut needed a bit of refocus xx

    Must be in the air - our C was looking up our stats and had a really straight talk telling us that we could continue to play around with a pound or two up and down til Xmas- or remember why you want to lose weight. If it's a priority, you'll get there. She mentioned all the occasions she's had since she had her baby, but that she was focussed on getting back to target- which she did this week. Fair play to her, very moving and the kick in the arse that we all needed!

    our IT this week was about how we maybe cheat the diet - like not synning heaped tablespoons, and not measuring things like milk.

    It made me realise that perhaps my 4 level tablespoons of options drinks sometimes are double the syns!!! ooops! hehe! x
