    Hi RG

Being a Yank, I have been saying since I discovered LL that we DESPERATELY need this over there.

There is nothing like it there. Not even Cambridge Diet is in the states - or wasnt last time I looked anyway.

I don't know why, but there isn't. Shame really.

Strange it isn't over there as the woman who owns LL lives over there!
Maybe they can't get it past the medical people or something...or McDonalds have paid for it not to be allowed!

lol - Steady on the McDonalds comment - just as many McDonalds over here now...the US no longer holds the title of the fattest nation. I would say it is pretty equally shared among all "western civilised" countries now, per capita, etc. ;)

I don;t know if she lives in the states?? But I am sure it would have to do with the medical foundation not approving it, otherwise there would be scads of them.

Thanks a lot.... I'll have a look and pass it along. :)
I'm assuming that even if its a different formular, it works in a similar way?

And BL's right.... apparently Australia now has the highest % obesity rate... you'd never think it watching fit young ones run around on home and away do you? ;)

    Hi All

I am American and was living in England for 5 years. Two years ago I did LL and lost 7 stone.

Now I am back in the US and use the product Medifast when any weight creeps back on. They are the same basic idea as LL and you order the products online. There is no CBT or weigh-ins but the products are great. There is a lot of variety.

I've been looking at the Immediate Rewards site and also a range of other diet products avaialble in the US and three things strike me.

    1. They have really wide product ranges, far wider than in the UK. I assume this is just because they have a bigger potential market.

    2. They do way more lactose-free products than in the UK. I am really envious of this as I have a bit of a lactose intollerance and I get very itchy skin and blocked sinuses on LL due to the diary products.

    3. They seem to have pretty lax advertising laws as they can show diet products topped with cream and other garnishes when you wouldn't be allowed to have them like this in the diet. I've never seen LL or CD do this.
