Hi I am currenly doing refeed and have a question on the amount of rice / pasta we can have. 4OZ cooked weight - does anyone know what the dry weight would be so I stop making too much of the damn stuff? Also after day 7 on refeed are we allowed to increase the quantity slightly as 4oz cooked really isnt much.

    Thanks
    Claudia xx

    Hey,
my low GI book says that 1oz uncooked is the same as 4oz cooked. It worked out at 2 and 1/2 of the american tablespoon measuring cups. It's slightly less than I give my bf, so it's probably what I'll have to stick to for life!

Isn't brown basmatti amazing smelling?? Do you like it Claudia?

if you cook too much pasta and you know you can resist the extra while its sat there stick it in the fridge and have a pasta salad with it cold the next day, or some resteraunts throw it back into boiling water for a couple of minutes to warm it back through , i just used to bung it in the microwave and warm it through, though you need to make sure its properly warm before eating it. Dont warm up rice though its bad for you its just easier to chuck it than get food poisoning
