A little bit about myself & my SW 'journey' & I will try to keep it brief......
I started with a SW class way back in December '09 at 10st 7lbs & Im 5' 1", but unfortunately had to stop going as I slipped 2 discs in my neck & was off sick from work til I had a Cervical Discectomy & Fusion in September '10. Hence, I was fed up, inactive & I went up to 11st 6lbs! Started again in Nov '10 weighing 11st 3lbs & got to target of 8st 7lbs by May 3rd '11 with SW & road cycling.
I was back at work as a Registered Nurse full of beans, but by the August was in the hurtlocker again & needed a further Cervical Discectomy & Fusion in the Nov '11, discovered baking....Xmas cakes, Xmas puddings, mince pies, coffee cakes, Milllionaires shortbread.....whoops back up to 10st 7lbs by Jan '12!
So, this brings me to the last & final stage of the last 16 months......I lost 2st 0.5lbs taking me to my target of 8st 7lbs (half a pond under, but who's counting!) by my 50th Birthday on May 3rd! So that averages at 1.75lb per month! Its probably taken me that long because even tho I follow SW to the letter, I do have some 'off plan' days as I feel that life is for living & I enjoy the good things in life like food & alcohol in moderation. My husband works away during the week & only gets home at the weekend, so we like to go out occasionally/have romantic meals at home, as he has a very stressful job in the RM's. He is very fit through cycling which I love as well & has encouraged/supported me through these last few years & probably knows as much about SW as I do!
Anyways, I thought I would keep a diary on here now as I have one on my laptap that I religiously fill out everyday & will continue to do so, but there are a few of us 'maintiners' out there & for those of you that will be soon, I thought it might help.
In February I decided to call target at 8st 11lbs as I was STS for quite a while, but as soon as I did that, I started losing again & got to my ultimate target of 8st 7lbs.
I follow all 3 plans, but if I do an EE day I tend to add in an an extra HexB. My meal plans may seem a bit 'odd', but as a Nurse I do shifts & they are normally long! If Im exercising/cycling I tend not to have breakfast at a set time, so it can all seem a bit 'higgeldy piggeldy'!!! But it works for me........hope to chat to you all soon. Kim x
