Anti-depressants and CD

#1
A lady at work who's been really supportive of me on my CD journey stopped me today as I passed her desk and asked about CD. She has read about it on the website but is currently on anti-depressants. These seem to be contraindicated in all the Cambridge literature, but she's on a longterm low dosage and really wants to do CD for a few months to lose a few stone of weight. I'm not sure what variety of anti-d she's on (we didn't get into that level of detail).

Does anyone have any experience of starting CD whilst on anti-depressants, or of taking anti-depressants whilst doing CD? Did your CDC know?

I've been put on Anti-d's recently hun and well into my CD journey and i know there are others on the board also on them!

There shouldnt be any reason why she can not do it, in fact, the Dr's will probably encourage her to lose weight to help with her confidence....Dr's recommend losing weight or exercise to cure all evils it seems! lol

I'm on them, and was when I started. I had to get my Dr to sign a form to take back to my cdc before she would let me start the plan. :) Hugs x x x

I'm on them, but the doc gave them to me as a long term solution for my sleeping problems, as they also help you relax. Only done CD for a week, but seems ok to me :)
