antidepressant = weight gain

hello everyone i needed to join to get some inspiration and encouragement, I need to lose about 2 stone i'm 5"8 13 stone 7 pounds at the moment. I blame my weight gain on a drug i use for insomnia and depression called Mirtazapine. I was not warned about the intense carbohydrate cravings that you get from this drug i have a viracious appetite all the damn time. I dont really want to stop taking it so instead i'm going to fight it haha... anyways nice to join the group any advice would be appreciated thanks ;-)

hi im new too, i had the same problem, i was on ciprager and had noticed ballooning weight, i am no longer on them, and have also giving up smoking, so iv had a large increase in weight, so im here for support and any advice on offer too

Maybe talk to your doctor if he thinks this is happening , but they shouldnt make you gain weight.
