I have just applied for 2 jobs that sound very interesting!!

I enjoy where I work at the moment, the majority of staff are nice (theres a group of 5 who are very cliquey sp??) but I feel a bit like a dormat and know that given the opportunity I could contribute more and progress.

So, fingers crossed..... x

Hang in there HelsAngel, it's always easier to find a job when you're already in one. Hope the agency find you something soon :)

Good luck.

Try hard not to let them get to you. If they see they are upsetting you the have won.

Can you distance yourself from them.........

Thank you. Luckily, I have a fairly well paid weekend job that I can fall back on so income won't stop. I don't do crying. I'm very dramatic but I don't cry and today I've been in tears most of the day. They've used this HelsAngel one too many times and I will take great pleasure in writing my notice tonight.

I even just shouted at my Director I'm that upset about it. I covered 5 peoples work today plus my own yet they're just about to employ someone to do the job I've been covering for for 6 years AND I'm expected to train the new person? *cough* I DON'T think so!!

my_girl, you're not on your own sweetie. We just haven't found our vocation yet. It's tough at the moment being unhappy but I'm sure we'll look back at some point and wonder why we even bothered sticking with it for so long. There's employers out there desperate for hardworking girlies like us. :)

Good luck on your job hunt my_girl. I know what you mean about hating your job. Still searching for the elusive "dream" one myself.

HelsAngel, that sounds awful. Not surprised you want to leave. Hope you find a decent job where they actually value you.

As hard as it is, stay strong, keep looking forward and stay positive - it will truely come across in your CV and interviews - you deserve to be happy and valued though, we all spend too long in work to be unhappy! xxx

I used to do a job where the stress nearly did me in, when a new owner was about to take over and made it obvious he didn't want me to manage the PO and belittled me at every opportunity I left, it took me three months to feel well! I was unemployed for 10 months and in the end applied for a very different job even though I was sure I'd hate it....3 hours into my first shift I knew I loved it, my boss said she thought I wouldn't come back because it ws so hard that day!
A month later she told me I'd found my vocation and she was right!!

So the moral is don't be afraid to try something new!

Well done for having the courage to walk away from it. That must have been a very hard thing to do :)
