    Hi guys,

As the title says above, ive been using these in place of salt on salmon, chicken, you name it!!!. They are my new addiction but are they actually ok to use as they don't seem to be affecting my weight loss.

I am on day 17 today and really enjoying slim and save. I even want to bring one of these cubes for my steak out on saturday night. Steak is not on the list but as it has no carbs, i am going to enjoy the treat. I will have it with mushrooms and mashed turnip if they have it.I will then have my dark choc truffa bar and a coffee for dessert. cant wait.

Please, i would welcome any advice if i am doing anything naughty!!

Just check the ingredients for citric acid as I was surprised to see the Knorr chicken stock cubes have it in. If it's not in there you should be okay, if it's not affecting your losses anyway though don't worry :)

OMG!! LucySera, thanks so much for the info in this article. It really is thought provoking. I thought that it was too good to be true, lol. My Hubby is from Nigeria and his family give him tons of these maggi cubes whenever they come to visit. I was wondering why i was becoming seriously addicted to these little cubes. In fairness, the OH always tells me to only use a very small amount or a sprinkling of the cube so he must know that they are quite bad for you!!!

To the other ladies, who posted above, thanks for the advice, ladies. Hope ye are all getting on well with the diet.
