back in group :-)

    Hi im sarah,yesterday I went back to my slimming world group after illness forced me to take a break.I have to say I was given the warmest welcome ever.It was almost like getting together with old friends.My first goal is to get back to my pre-illness weight,although I was still over weight,I was very happy at that weight and was happy to just lose a small amount of weight each week.so yesterday I weighed in at 17st 3lbs,which although was a huge weight gain,I took it on the chin because as my sw leader said,I havent been in control of whats happened over the last few months,so now im back in control :)

    After 3 days of being back on plan,im already feeling the benefits of it.No bloated feeling and no heartburn.It just shows you how healthy food can make you feel healthier :)

    Yeah, the heartburn was the first thing I noticed, I used to get it all the time. Best of luck with your fresh start!

    Very tired today (bad M.E day) but instead of letting this be an excuse to eat anything I can get my hands on,I stuck to easy to prepare food....thank goodness for mugshots,yogurts & pre packed fruit lol

    Had to stop myself jumping on the scales this morning.Just felt like theres no way ive lost weight :/ but I didnt do it.Just wish friday would hurry up now

    I'm on the scales every morning, I know its probably a bad thing but it does show how much your weight can fluctuate from one day to the next. If it shows a loss I get a little boost of confidence and if it shows a gain I get motivated to do some exercise or eat better, so its win-win for me so far. I don't like surprises either! If that starts to change I will get rid of them though, fair play to you for resisting. I'm sure you'll be fine on Friday!

    I used to weigh every day but found tuesday & Wednesday were my "fat days", so I promised myself that as soon as I was back to group I would try and dtay off them lol x

    Haha, Tuesday probably for me as I usually have a treat after my weigh in. I know a lot of people struggle at the weekend but that's when I lose the most. I eat too much during the day when I'm in work. The weekends I eat less and have more time to exercise. So far anyway...

    Its all about planning for me.As long as I plan every meal & snack im ok, its if im left to my own devises that it all goes belly up lol x

    Yeah, same here. Just been to Tesco and stocked up on fruit and veg etc. Taking my dad out for lunch tomorrow for his birthday so hopefully I can choose the healthy options!

    I always check the menu before I go.That way I make my decision before I see all that lovely food and think "sod it" and make a major (but delicious) error lol :-D

    Yeah, hoping to get into Cosmo which has all sorts, like a buffet, so I can get meat, noodles, boiled rice, salads etc. But they don't take bookings so it just depends how busy it is. If not there we can try Nandos. I'll be grand I'm sure. Looking forward to it, will see if I can be good!

    Absolutely exhausted today after a trip to the beach last night so my hubby is in charge of feeding himself and kids tonight and im just reavhing for mugshot, yogurt and fruit :/

    Oh, the beach sounds nice, we had to have our heating on last night so I hope you're getting better weather than us! I'm wrecked now after my lunch out. Had salad, noodles, chicken, some rice and then had 2 little mini chocolate eclairs for dessert. Ah well, you need a little treat once in a while, and I was worried about going to an all you can eat buffet but I managed to be sensible. Last time I went there I felt like I was going to die after it, so this is progress!

    Well done! That was a great achievement.You are right about needing a treat, you cant expect to never be able to have something you really want ever again.The weather has been great here in Devon but unfortunately today we have had loads of rain so no doubt there will be some poor souls flooded again :/

    Oh dear. The sun has come out here, it was really cold this morning and now its gone so warm. You just don't know what the weather is going to do. Yeah, I'm quite proud of myself. Although I have a banging headache now which just makes me want Coke and chocolate. But I won't! Hope you enjoy your dinner...

    1 hr to go until weigh in :/ on a good note, my jeans did up and I can still breath properly lol :)

    Well I did it....4 1/2lbs off..a little disappointed because for a first week I would of liked 6 but still im happy to be losing :)
