Hiya, I've had my first period where I have been off plan (1 week). I've counted all the extra syns but not really focused on SW. Life is a bit topsy turvey at the moment.

I finally got back into plan yesterday and I should be really pleased but instead I just feel down. I've got no intention of coming off plan again, my meals are planned, syns ready to be used but that feeling of being proud and pleased isn't there.

Has anyone else come back on SW after a 'vacation' and felt the same way?

That's exactly how I'm feeling at the moment!
I have weigh-in this morning not looking forward to that
I'm going to try to introduce a little more exercise to see if that will make me feel better
Also we are probably being too hard on ourselves we are only human after all, and the fact we're back on plan and intend sticking to it is proof we'll get there

Yep I know what you mean. I had a couple of days last week where I went over my syns. I tried to pull it back but just couldn't. WI yesterday I lost 0.5lb and I should be happy. Have this week planned with meals, syns and exercise but just feel down and think I am going to go off the rails again :-(

When I came back on plan after a holiday, even though i wasn't off plan for a long time my motivation had all bit disappeared, can't imagine it will reappear until I start losing past where I was pre-holiday (hopefully tomorrow!) but I did feel a sense of almost disappointment in myself that even though I'd decided to enjoy my hold I'd let myself down a bit and gained some weight.. It was more disappointment than down but it certainly did hamper my enthusiasm.. I just worked through it, took one meal at a time and made sure I was never starving hungry so I didn't have an excuse to slip.. I think it was the step back into a routine that really felt a heavy weight but it actually makes life easier (so long as my social life doesn't get in the way) what I'm saying is, it's normal, work through it even if this week isn't enjoyable and when the losses start up again you'll be glad :) xx

Yep,I felt similar last year going off plan as my job contract expired... Applying for new jobs....interviews etc I felt like my life was in chaos and it was all happening so fast I went off plan for 2 weeks, didn't go for WI because I had assumed that I had probably put on all that weight I lost. I wanted to try SW again...but felt too much guilt and fear of seeing the damage I done. Over the next couple of months I felt even worse but couldn't bring myself to change anything until after xmas I decided I deserved better and wasn't going to allow myself to feel the way I did. I rejoined SW and discovered minimins and just reading through the threads made me feel stronger. It took courage but I am so pleased I did it, and am loving watching myself get slimmer! This time round my heart is in it 100 percent and anytime I need inspiration I just read through success stories and look at people's transformations. I believe in myself and now finally believe I can do it. Why not have a look at the inspiration forum and see if it motivates you? What are you hoping will change once you have lost weight? I follow SW from home at the moment, but I remember going to group each week (and staying for image therapy) and feeling so inspired! You could try that if you don't at the monent. Maybe measure yourself each week and once you see you have lost inches off yourself, it will help motivate you. Similarly try taking photos of yourself regularly. I hope this helps you feel better and gives you the boost you need! :)

Thanks everyone...I wonder if its my pregnancy hormones whizzing around. I've got through two days so just need to keep plugging in on until my weigh in on Friday morning.

I just feel so blurgh and really want to be healthy for baby and me. I think my body is getting used to lower fat foods and wonder if that can affect my mood

    Thanks again x
