Back on the wagon- who's with me?!

    Hey all
    How's everyones weekend been?
    Ive had a great time with friends and my chap but since Friday I have not followed sw!
    Back on the wagon now though, sw tea in the oven- don't want to write the entire day off!
    Im gonna try and get to the gym next week- injured my coccyx yesterday so it will be swimming only but better than nothing!
    Also going to try the homemade soup lunch thing with lots of ss for a boost.
    How does everyone else like to get back at it?

    Hi Rosie, I too have had a baaaaaad weekend! One week til my holiday and target date so getting back on it BIG time as of tomorrow! Have been to tesco and got all the right foods in, made myself a sandwich and fruit salad for work tomorrow and planned my dinners for the rest of the week.

    You sound very motivated MagicBeans! Nice to have a hol to look forward to :)
    Have you ever tried the boost/kick start ideas like the soup thing or success express?

    I like to try new things to give myself a kick start and have a few lower syn days. I also like to. Get the new mag for some inspiration! Thus month has some great ideas!

    What's success express? Don't know of any boost ideas! Gimme gimme! Need lots of tips and strategies....1 week to go and 5lbs off target (& probably gained this weekend too!)

    Lol id be surprised if I haven't put on about a stone after the weekend I've had!!
    Success express is where you have 2/3 superfree with every meal instead of a third. I believe you do it for a week/couple of days to kick start. Think its a sticky thread!
    The soup thing is where you have homemade soup with lots of superfree veg for lunch every day.
    Ive also heard of a fish challenge where you eat fish every day- every meal I think!- but im not a big fish fan.
    Gonna try the soup and swim every day if I can, see how my back goes :/
    Thanks Rach! Im gonna buy the mag for some inspiration I think. Also try stay around 10syns for some damage limitation!

    I find it really hard to have 2/3 super free.... I just don't really like a lot of the food or can't afford to buy a lot of it (why is fresh food so expensive? Another discussion......)

    I'd love to try the soup, will try and find it and make a big batch!

    I know what you mean- im a full time phd student and trying to budget is always tricky!
    There's a soup recipe- if you google something like superspeed soup it has like 10 different veg but im just gonna make up my own with the veg thats on special offer!
    I struggle sometimes to get a third so success express would be hard but heard such good things about it.
    Do you ever use frozen veg? I get it from lidl and its very good value- carrot, cauli and broccoli 89p for 1kg. Good cos it doesn't go off either! Fruit is annoyingly expensive tho :(

    Me, me, me!! Been away for my birthday Friday - Sunday, had a fab time and some lovely lovely meals (and several cocktails) but now I need to do some serious damage limitation!! Weigh in is Thursday night for me so hoping I have time to undo any damage! Seriously syn free, super free and super speed needed, even considering scan bran...

    Made a tomato super free soup tonight (mainly chopped toms, carrot & onion). Tasted ok. Going to freeze it all for days where I need something quick & may be tempted to fall off the wagon!

    Good plan, MagicBeans! I am doing the supermarket shop tomo a.m and plan to buy soupy veg. I love squash/sweet potato, it gives a really silky texture. Its good to have stuff convenient to prevent slipups!
    Glad you've had a nice weekend moolumps! I like that sw encourages you to think in the long term so the odd weekend off isn't total carnage. Do you plan to do any exercise? My injured coccyx was too painful to swim today but i have hopes for tomo!
    I need to get my book out to swot up on superspeed! Thanks for the tip x

    Managed a 30 min dvd yesterday, I have 3 young children so hard to find time, need to find a nice dancy one like zumba and see if I can get them to do it with me! Sun is shining today so scooters out for them and a good walk for me I think. Maybe get on the trampoline with them too!!
    If I gain this week at least I know why and I enjoyed it!! You're right that this is a long term plan, and anyway there's no more weekends off plan likely for me for a while!

    Thanks moolumps, decided to bite the bullet and go for a swim, see if I could loosen it off. Currently feel worse with my back but better in myself for going! Painkillers and a hot bath for me!
    Well done on the dvd- I struggle a bit with motivation when it comes to exercise at the best of times, never mind at home.
    Made my superfree soup today (yummy) and hope to eat it for lunch every day. Fingers crossed for only a small gain/STS this wk.

    Had a bad day today. Was good for breakfast and lunch but then had a bad afternoon at work and it coincided with someone bringing in cake, biscuits and mini eggs for their bday.....noooops. Had my super free soup for tea & fruit with yoghurt. But I'm so disappointed with myself. Weigh in tomorrow & I think I will have STS. Target date is 1 week today :-( and I have 2 meals out in those 7 days. Hhhmmmmph. Deflated, disappointed and demotivated. Help.

    Oh dear! The chocolate got you at a weak moment- I am all too familiar with this! At least you had your good soup and yoghurt for tea, and didn't write off the whole day!
    how did your wi go?
    I wi in the morning :( not looking forward to it. Appalling weekend- cakes on fri, way too much prosecco and a takeaway and hangover food and its TOTM! The odds are stacked against me....
    We can do this!

    Lost 1lb, which is better than nothing I suppose. Out for dinner twice in the next 4 days :-/ and 5 days til my holiday/target date..... I'm 4lbs away from where I wanted to be..... Think I'll probs gain 1lb before we fly though rather than lose any more :(

    Good luck for WI. Some weeks it's just best to admit you were defeated & start again :)

    You've done brilliantly, don't be sad! You're so close to your goal, a couple of pounds doesn't matter :) are you back on it after your hols?
    Enjoy your meals out n just try make half sensible choices :)
    I definitely will admit defeat this week, just hope the damage isn't too bad!!

    A pound off is still a loss so you turned it around after the naughty weekend, that's great! I've stuck to very low syns since Monday, hoping it's enough to avoid a gain - wi is tonight!! Not much in the way of exercise, had a migraine for two days so just entertaining my 3 girls was hard work enough!! Good luck for your wi this morning Rosie x

    Oh no hope you are migraine free now moolumps! And the kids were sympathetic!
    where are you going on jollys magicbean? jealous!
    There is no rhyme or reason with my losses. if I bust a ball and really try to stay on plan, I lose half a pound. I have a 3 day bender and lost 3&1/4 lb this week?!
    I wonder if like sometimes it takes a while to show a loss, its the same about a gain.. and next wk ill be back to square one lol xx
