Well this is the first day of being back on the wagon and i feel so in control for the first time in months. I am a 27 yr old new(ish) mum to my gorgeous 11 month old son Stanley. I have really enjoyed my maternity leave but seem to have spent the past few months eating cake and coffee at 'mothers meetings' so the hard work i put into getting rid of the 3 st baby weight has been partially undone. I have 7lbs of baby weight and 2st 3lbs of pre pregnancy extra weight to lose but i know i can do this.
For the first time i have decided to go it alone as this needs to be for me, not for the weekly feeling of a group clapping me.
I want to be a good role model to my son, my mum has been overweight all of my life and i have been brought up with her constantly dieting, i dont want this for Stan, i want us to be a healthy family.

So here is to the start of our new healthy family life. Fingers crossed xx

    Syns for the week 11/105

Having a day in today, me and Stan had a busy day yesterday. He had his 12 month health assesment and it went really well, i spent the whole morning tidying the house and after the meeting me and Stan went to 'Ugly Bugs' (a play centre for babies) to meet my friend from my antinatel group. We had lunch there and i was very good and went for Spud with beans and salad, whilst my friend had a veggie burger with chips. I then went to asda to get food for tea, i decided as it was a nice evening i would light the BBQ and have some steak and fish with homemade coleslaw. It was really yummy especially the fish. We then had yogurt with fresh raspberries and strawberries. So all in all a good day, lets hope i can keep it up :p

Stan has gone to nursery today so I have the day to myself, just done some tidying and now I'm going to go and have a nice long shower then off food shopping to stock up for the weekend. I'm off out with the girls tonight hitting a few pubs and clubs which I haven't done for so long, I'm really looking forward to it, diet cokes for me as I'm driving but that's good with me as drink makes me really sick.
The diet is going really well, I'm over the sugar cravings and really enjoying my food, my hubby and little boy are really enjoying the variety of food I'm cooking too which is great, not seeing much difference on the scales but for once I'm not worried as I'm not going to class anymore it really feels like this is a lifestyle change rather than a week by week diet.

Well done Tishbish - it is so difficult to get back into a diet and it sounds like you are doing well. Will read with interest to see how you are getting on :)

    oh bugger

Well the weekend was full of laughter, family fun and lots of food, unfortunately all the wrong sort of food but sometimes life gets in the way of dieting so never mind. Me and hubby are off to buy our new tent in a few mins and will be picking up a scrummy curry on the way home so the diet starts again tomorrow, but where as i would usually beat myself up about it and go completely off track i'm able to not let a few bad days ruin all my hard work.
    PMA, PMA, PMA.....:winner:

I'm off for a meal with my work mates today, there is a new italian near our office so they have invited me along. Stan is going to Avon Valley Country Park with my sister and her two boys so i'm Hannah again for a few hours instead of being mummy.
I made the big mistake of going food shopping when i was really hungry yesterday, my shopping trolley looked like i was 12 years old and having a midnight feast!! always such a bad idea not to make a shopping list.
The weather is awful here and we are of camping on friday morning so i'm really hoping the weather cheers up so we can pitch the tent without it getting too soaked!
As this is our first time camping we are only taking basic stuff with us and we have no electricity on our pitch so we are unable to keep anything cool, therefore we will be eating out 3 times a day for 4 days! I wonder what the damage will be when i get home? I will enjoy my holiday and make sure i do lots of swimming and walking and get back on track on tuesday when we get home. I know its another excuse but i dont want my life to be all 'diet' and no fun now do I?!?

Hi hun, Just noticed your diary. We're camping on the weekend too... I'm so angry at the weather forecast I hope it's all lies grrr.
I'm sure you'll make good choices when you eat out. Make sure you stock up on lots of 'treats' which don't need chilling or cooking - fruit, alpen lights, veggy crudites.
Bet you'll have loads of fun - where are you going?

Wears going to Croyde, Ruda bay to be exact. I hope the weather behaves, sleeping in a wet tent in gale force winds with a teething baby is not my idea of a fun weekend :0(
Never mind, I'm sure it'll be fun :0)
I hope you have a great time too x

    Camping nightmare!!!

It was horrendous, rained and hurricane wind for three days so we came home a day early :0( we survived on fish and chips and I feel like a giant bloated now. Need to seriously get my ass jn gear as I'm back to work 2 weeks to tomorrow and need to shift a bit of belly so they don't ask me if I'm expecting again!!!!
So hard to start a fresh after a bad week :0(

Ah sorry to hear you didn't have a great time. My camping weekend was pretty wet too - it's horrid when that happens.
I'm sure you'll be ok - you probably burnt off loads of calories putting the tent up, taking it down, shivering in the wind etc!!
    ((Big Hugs))

Just can't get my act together, weighed myself yesterday and I've put on 4lbs in the last week and a half :0(
Need to stock my fridge and cupboards so I can start again. Back to work in 10 days so hopefully some structure will help me get focussed . Feel like a total let down :0(

Thanks Sarah, I need a good kick up the bum I think. Maybe I should spend a day naked in my house, I can't hide from all the mirrors so it may help to get me motivated ;0)

    Right that is it!!!

After two + weeks of gorging myself on all the wrong food and drink and feeling pretty sorry for myself i am now ready to make it good again. I went on a work pub rally on Thursday dressed as a cupcake, all homemade costume and i thought i looked pretty good actually.....well the photos have just been uploaded onto facebook and i look huge!!!! so depressed but i only have myself to blame. I was doing so well and i have gone and undone all my hard work by eating rubbish that i truely haven't even enjoyed that much. My body feels soooo sluggish and my face and body have errupted in spots as it usually does when i have been eating junk. So i have eaten all the rubbish in my house and i am starting a fresh in the morning.
I have 10 days till i return to work and i think i can shift 3lbs by then, feel a little less bloated and can walk into work on my first day with my new clothes and sassy shoes on and feel ok about how i look.
I need to get myself prepared for meals when i return to work as i do not want to be spending all my time cooking when i get home as i want to spend as much time with Stanley as i can before he has to go to bed. So i think i will invest in a slow cooker. We all love chillis and spag bol ect so i can do that for a fews days of the week and prepare some quick easy meals for the other days that im working.
I feel better already writing this down, i would have only gone to bed thinking about it and not being able to sleep, i really find writing it down gets it off my chest and i am able to relax.
so i i'll now go and write my food diary for tomorrow and take this week, one day at a time....wish me luck X

Ah Hannah, don't feel bad. We all have binges and fall off plan. The important thing is you're motivated to get right back on it.
Just left a msg on your food diary asking how you'd been, guess this answers that.
Big Hugs hun, keep that determination going, and you'll look fabulous when you get back to work! xx

Thanks Sarah, I've woken up with the same determination that i went to bed with and i've had a healthy filling breakfast and i'm about to make a shopping list to get the SW food in so i can have a good week.
Lets just hope I have the willpower to keep at it!!
