Best fix EVER for a sweet tooth!! :)

Hi all, been on Atkins on and off since Jan and have lost 1 stone which I am pleased with!The goal was to lose 2 stone by 1st April which isnt going to happen but still pleased that Iv lost a stone :) Anyway for any of u that are like me and crraaaave something sweet after your meal I have found the best fix. Tescos do a extra thick cream called "Jersey Extra Thick Double Cream" which has only 1.5 grams of carbs per 100ml. The whole tub is 250ml and if you mix 1 tbsp sucralose based sweetner into it it tastes so yummy! 100ml is more than enough to satisfy a sweet tooth as extremely filling and heavy cream. Feels like you have had a huge dessert! Anyway just wanted to share as just by having that after my dinner keeps the sugar cravings away all evening thus I havent cheated since I started eating this. That sounds delicious and I can understand why you love it but cream is one of the things we have to limit on Atkins, particularly during Induction but during OWL, too, particularly if losses are slowing.

If you have that treat every single night you might think about making it every other night, to begin with, or cutting down the size of the serving.

You obviously love Atkins and are happy with your rate of loss so - please feel free to disregard the above if you so wish!

Yes I know it can cause stalling with some people but doesnt seem to cause any probs for me, have been losing 4-5lbs per week for last 3 weeks and having it every evening after my meal. Only 100ml though not the whole pot lol x

I eat masses of cream and cheese to lose. Or else i just don't lose at all. Love cream, sweetener and coconut on OWL it's just lush :)

Wow to both of you - particularly marysu! It just goes to show how individual a diet Atkins can be. I can't eat a lot of cream, cream cheese or cheddar because I stall and then start to regain.

And I love all dairy! ha ha x

I do them same to whipped double cream,this treat is so rich you don't really need alot to munch on..very yummy..
