Bonfire night food

Hi all, I'm having people over for pre bonfire night dinner on Saturday and think I'll do chilli for main course but I was wondering if there are any other ideas, especially dessert ideas?
Thanks!

Chilli con carne is excellent for Bonfire night and is a great dish you can serve up to people who aren't following the plan - they'll never know - so you're definitely on the right track with that I think!

When I cook a SW chilli I almost always cook it in a slow cooker - it really makes such a massive difference to the flavour and texture. I like to provide jacket potatoes and rice of course but it's also nice to give people the option of having chilli tacos as well - these are too bad synwise so you can have one as well if you like (3.5 syns per shell for Old El Paso ones - Basic ones are 3 syns per shell) and filling them up with some shredded lettuce, tomatoes and jalapeno peppers ups your superfree! If the tacos don't appeal then how about making some chilli dogs - use some low syn bangers (heh - I like WW ones at half a syn per sausage) and wholemeal rolls (B choice) and serve with SW chips or some spicy potato wedges.
