Bum and hip exercises?

How can I tone my bum and hips? I'm a pear shape so my hips are the biggest thing on me... I have some little dumbbells [only a kilo, the ladies' ones!] but not really sure what to do with them?!?!

Are there any kind of resistance things I can do easily in my room? I haven't got a gym membership yet :cry:

Hi there, if you use apps there's an app for iPhone called the 'daily butt workout free'. It gives 5 -10 minutes workout with video demonstration of the exercises and a log to keep track.
I guess another option would be to search YouTube for routines and then you can do those in your room. There's quite a bit that can be achieved without gym membership -don't worry!
