Calling all porridge lovers!!

    So, I'm a MASSIVE fan of porridge, can't go a day without it! :p I usually make it with water and add sweetener to make it a bit more tasty without the added calories of making it with milk, sugar, golden syrup etc etc...

    However, today I ran out of sweetner! :eek: Heartbreaking I know...

    And I had a little brainwave... I made myself some porridge but with half water, half double concentrate blackcurrent and apple cordial...

    The result? YUM! :D

    Oh my golly gosh wow, was so yummy and sweet and sticky and fruity, without any added calories of the afore mentioned! And I'm going to try it with loads of different flavoured cordials, I'm a little excited at the thought of this!! :p

    But yes, I just had to share that with people!! :D

    OOOhhhh, what a good idea!! Its a long time since i made porridge without using oats so simple, what quantities do you use?

    You totally should try it with water gina! :D Just make sure you put something in it, i.e. sweetener or cordial to make it sweet, otherwise it's it bit rubbish! :p

    Me too! I allllllways used oatso simple until a few days ago when I ran out, and then realised how much I was spending on oatso simple and how expensive it is compared to cheapy porridge oats!

    I saved an empty sachet of oatso simple, and measured some normal porridge oats into the empty sachet, to get about the same amount, then filled the sachet with water and used that amount of water (well, cordial now :p ) :)

    If you try it let me know what you think! :D

    Oo that sounds yummy!! Will have to give that one a try!! :p

    P.s. your weight loss is AMAZING! Very inspirational as yours and my start weight are very similar, so it makes me feel I can lose the weight!! :)

    Mmm sounds good, i always make porridge with water, will give it a go using cordial :)

    I have ready brek usually with raisins, not sure how well that would go with squash, lol x

    Definitely give it a go happyhippo! It makes it really sticky and sweet and fruity without any added calories! :p

    And you should totally try it Nicki, sounds weird but it's sooooo yummy! Nom nom nom :p :D
