Can I turn this around and still lose?

Oh blurry heck!

Don't ask me why, but yesterday I totally lost control and binged:mad: I was having a pack of french fries, that I was counting as my syns, then one pack lead to another, and then another:rolleyes: and on top of that I threw caution to the wind and scoffed two curly wurlys as well:sigh: then two rich tea biscuits, WTF I don't even like rich tea biscuits!! I am soooooo angry at myself, I don't what came over me, I am a bit stressed about a couple of things at the mo and I am a comfort/stress eater.

Anyway, I have today got right back on the plan, I was wondering if I don't have any syns for the rest of the week and stick to plan 100% could I turn this blip around and still have a weight loss?

Good to be honest with yourself and think of your syns as a whole weeks worth, if you have 10 , then thats 70. Take off of that what you had last night and then what ever is left divide them into what ever many days you have left on the plan. Nothing undone at all :)

Nothing is impossible, just draw a line and enjoy the rest of your week . xx

I had lots of cider and a korma last thursday, plus some wine over the weekend and still managed to lose this week because after the cider/korma night I was super good (except the wine... oops)! So you can do it just don't give up on the whole week because of one bad day. And even if you do STS or have a gain... it doesn't matter. It's only one week! Good luck and hope the rest of your week goes well.

Hiya hun, we all have these days and you have done the right thing by getting up this morning and starting afresh. When is your weigh in? If your 100% good and reduce your sins if weigh in is still a few days off Im sure you will turn it round. Sometimes we need these blips to get the motivation going again.

Thanks hun, my WI is on Monday, so not got much time to claw back. Perhaps I need to get on my exercise bike and the wii fit tonight;)

I just feel so stupid, I have let myself down big time:eek::eek:

The only thing I can suggest is work out how many syns you have had since last WI & work out if you have gone over your weekly allowance. If so you are going to accept you may not lose or may have a gain this week. It's no use worrying about it now you can't change what you've eaten.

Try & drink plenty of water & eat S & SS foods until WI.

Don't worry the weight will come off:D

Dont be to hard on yourself we have all done it including me :eek: if I do it though I draw a line under it and go back to plan asap and STILL HAVE my 10 syns the next day, I dont cut back.

It has never impacted on my weightloss and I feel if I did not have any syns the next day I would crave for the things I am missing. Dont forget syns dont have to be extras they can be included in your meals.

My consultant one night brought in 7 roses one of which was dead, she took out the dead one and said one dead rose doesnt spoil a bunch, implying that one bad day doesnt make a week of bad days.

You can do it, be positive and i'm sure you will be fine x

Aww thank you guys, its comforting to know I am not the only one who has been very naughty!

Think I will try and eat some SS foods and be good for the rest of the week, throw in some body magic on the wii and bike and hope for the best at WI on monday evening;)

You ate a total of 488 calories (24.5 syns)
A pound of fat is equal to 3500 calories (175 syns)

I bet a million pounds that your 'binge' was NOTHING like what a binge would have been pre SW. The important thing is you now stop and carry on as normal.

I would recommend that you don't try and make up the syns- if you have too few syns left for the rest of the week it may lead to you feeling deprived which is almost certainly going to lead to a second binge.

This happens- we can't expect to be cured the moment we start doing SW- we can't change the bad habits of a lifetime in one moments decision. Go easy on yourself- it really isn't as bad as you are thinking it is

I agree with Cocktailprincess - continue today as if nothing happened, full syns allowance as per usual.
I was bad over the bank holiday weekend and still had a 1.5lb loss last night and believe me i had a lot more stuff than you have had!

wooooooo kettle crisps and family sized maltesers used to be one of my biggest downfalls!

At least now, you can get some support when you need it and help point you in the right direction.
You've also learned something new about yourself too - perhaps next time you have some stress, you may think before you binge or you may binge on foods that are a lot less harmful.
This is a wonderful place to be and well done you for being honest with yourself and with others.
We're all here for each other.

Well ladies, went to class and the damage was a pound on:( BUT, it is my * week and I am very bloated and have also got a bit of trouble with constipation (sorry tmi) but need to eat less eggs me thinks:p

Sounds like that could well be the cause of your gain and not your blip...onwards and upwards hun, cut down on the eggs, get * week done and heres to a loss next week x

compared to wot I had on Saturday OMG !!!
Are you ready for this people .... you may call me a big fat pig afterwards if you like !!

BREAKFAST
1 double sausage and egg macmuffin 2 hash browns and a bottle of juice, Then cos I WANTED IT I had another single sausage and egg macmuffin with a hash brown and another bottle of juice !!

then I had a large hot dog and coke from IKEA
then on the way home i NEEDED a bag of salt and vinegar crisps
when we got home I had a nice healthy salad with a big scotch egg
then came pudding a fresh cream slice
then later came a sticky toffee sponge pudding with 2 big scoops of ice cream and finally I had 2 hot cross buns with butter

That my people is a MAJOR BINGE :(:(
what the hell I was doing I dont know !!
I have drawn a line under it and am straight back on... I would have normally ate like this on most days before SW. now I know why I got so damn big !!!!:8855:
sorry you gotta laugh or you'll cry !!

don t beat yourself up over it - we've done it and thats it , just pick yourself up , brush yourself down and start all over again .
