You'll probably lose slower and maybe not lose in the first week Diane, but I'll let people who have swapped answer this one.

Thanks Jim.
I have not got the book yet, will get it today. I have read your stickie and it's a great source of information. I'm just making a list of what i need to get and will start tomorrow.

Yes you can have Mayo, but in moderation on induction. I've found the basic Tesco one is the lowest carb Diane

Just wanted to wish you luck in the transition Dianne! I had a sts week when i moved over from cd but was pleased with that considering i'd gone from milkshakes all day to nice steaks, salads, omlettes etc. Then i lost 2lb the next week and i think roughly on average each week since, sometimes more, somtimes less.

Hope the transition's a smooth one for you. One slight thing i had a problem with is that in my second week i made myself a homemade curry with cauli rice and suffered quite badly with stomach pain afterwards. I think it was too strong tasting so soon after coming off cd that did it as i've had it again twice since n been fine. But that said, i'd been on cd for just over three months so you may be ok..

Good luck!

Hi
I went from Go Lower (a low carb method akin to Atkins I think) to CD as I wasn't getting anywhere with it at all. Had plateau for 8 weeks - I think that is actually a full stop! Hee hee. Have had great success in Spring 2007 with CD so have returned to it now with strict exercise programme to build some lovely fat burning muscle. When I am done, I want to maintain on low carb/Atkins - so I'd love to know how people are getting on with their weight loss/maintencance on Atkins.

I made a switch from LL/CD to Atkins. I've been on it for 3 days and lost 1 and a half pounds so far. Oh I love the fact I can eat yummy things and still lose weight after 3months of no food :D

I can't believe that i'm not feeling hungary at all. I have scrambled eggs for breakfast yesterday and i actually lasted round until 5pm yesterday as we were out on a walk. Going to cook a large chicken today so that i can take it to work in the week along with some salad leaves.
