    Is it allowed?

I'm only on day 1 and I had a couple of pieces of sugarfree chewing gum today - it didn't occur to me until afterwards that I might not be allowed it!!?

Sugar-free chewing gum can be a problem for some people as it can stimulate the stomach into expecting food and make you hungry.

I have chewed sugar-free chewing gum endlessly for the last 9 weeks with no ill-effects.

I started using it because I couldn't stand my manky mouth!! The Cambridge site does recommend sugar-free chewing gum for this very purpose.

I'm addicted to Trident Splash sugarfree gum...being chewing for weeks and it hasn't affected my weight loss. So if you want to chew, go ahead...just be aware that for some it could make you feel hungry.

Phew!!! I was worried for a bit there! I haven't felt hungry today and I've been chewing, so hopefully it'll be ok...mind you, it is only day 1, lol.

    Thanks people!

    I am a Trident addict too - been chewing virtually non-stop for 13 weeks:D

I figure that if it stops you reaching for some "real" food then its worth it!
