Considering doing the Atkin's diet

Hi All, I'm thinking of giving the Atkins's:confused: diet a whirl after a Registrar at work lost a boat load of weight doing it. I've heard some folk saying it's really unhealthy etc. but I figured if a doctor gives it some consideration then it can't be too bad! My problem however, is I don't really know what I can and can't eat, what quantities and any essential or forbidden foods. Can anyone advise me regarding the basics of the plan so that I can get started without having to wait until my book comes from Amazon. Many thanks
 
Hi Im starting again I lost a few stone few yrs ago.
You can eat protein and fat but count your carbs to approx 20grams a day
eg Breakfast -bacon /eggs or ommlette with cheese/ham
Lunch chicken salad with mao or greek salad with feta and olives
Eveveing meal - Braised steak with cauli mash
